ime this is because plastics have lower thermal mass and hence cool out faster than the ceramic/glass/metal things. while the water evaporates from warm objects it then condenses at lower temperature surfaces.

true, but the api is very stable

what could possibly go wrong

idk seems to me that what you wish for is already here.

os-vendors are predominiantly us-american and the rest of the world has to get their lawful interception on the free market, no?

fwiw lora is meant for extreme low-bw applications, like a few key-value pairs per hour.

maybe not mentioning the bitrate discourages misappropriation?

german avm coporation has the "fritzbox" router lineup which can do ipsec and wireguard with normie gui.

openwrt surely will do the job on many aio or a old laptop.

finally establish that this is not acceptable
Re:The perpetual truck driver shortage is not real on Wednesday September 06, 2023 @07:30AM (#37403620)
ime a lot of companies do this, but most don't

also phrasings like "average" and "up to" tend to obstruct an important part of the picture (i.e. the common worker)

tbf 700ppl software business in rapid growth is probably not the worst choice
> The whole cottage industry around work is a festering wound at this point.

and (we?) the internet natives are most prone to this assessment as growing up in a world of free ideas (foss) wrecks any connection between work and reward.

a good paying non-management job with a overseeable workload is what i'm look for as well.

kinda hard to find as most hr ppl seem to be looking for either rock stars or code monkeys, any tipps?

how so?

i mean, the most esoteric ppl i know aren't even married

Re:The perpetual truck driver shortage is not real on Wednesday September 06, 2023 @05:18AM (#37402903)
probably a bubble thing as most produce of the hn crowd does indeed not need any trucking
> All manufacturer firmware are buggy with poor security? That's very obviously false.

guess we have a difference of opinion then

Re:The perpetual truck driver shortage is not real on Wednesday September 06, 2023 @04:09AM (#37402493)
yea, but hiding behind the differences in meaning does also not help effective discussion.

i get where you're coming from, but also sympathize with the position of "if the compensation changes in value, the value of the compensation has changed"

maybe time to question this whole stock option thing for c-suite and just grant all employees a similar share of company performance

Re:The perpetual truck driver shortage is not real on Wednesday September 06, 2023 @03:43AM (#37402351)
not set in stone, but might well be.
openwrt is surely lacking in many aspects, but all the points you brought forward also apply to the manufacturer firmware but those are even less user friendly and cannot be modified.

there are a lot of open and closed firmware projects building upon openwrt

Re:The boiling frog of digital freedom on Sunday September 03, 2023 @09:28AM (#37370267)
certainly not that far fetched.

"one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist"

Re:The boiling frog of digital freedom on Sunday September 03, 2023 @07:54AM (#37369669)
not much, but most build upon foss and some would not be viable without it.
they arguably got the best military power projection capabilities
> all the videos I uploaded have slowly reduced in resolution, bitrate, and quality, over the years.

i know that feeling when i watch "old" stuff too, did you confirm this in any way or is just subjective?

asking because after a while of watching pal/ntsc style content it becomes normal again.

on the flip side, would you rather the bribe your dr for an appointment and "donate" to the school?
