3.6 roentgen? Not great, not terrible.
The canonical method would be to call the `totalSupply()` method on Tether's ERC20 contract.
Estate taxes can be avoided with trusts.
When you die, your heirs get the stock with "step up basis", meaning the cost basis used to calculate capital gains resets to the market price at time of death. So if they sell right after you die, they pay no capital gains tax.
A jury's findings are final only in determining the facts of the case. The actual legal implications of those facts can still be appealed, reviewed, and modified.
You could issue a double spend transaction that goes to another wallet you control with a higher fee and the network will probably apply that one first.

This was happening to me the other day!
I'm assuming the ones in denial will say something like "It's up to the individual to evaluate the quality of the content e̶v̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶w̶e̶ ̶e̶n̶g̶i̶n̶e̶e̶r̶ ̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶t̶f̶o̶r̶m̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶e̶n̶e̶r̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶i̶n̶s̶t̶a̶n̶t̶a̶n̶e̶o̶u̶s̶ ̶e̶m̶o̶t̶i̶o̶n̶a̶l̶ ̶r̶e̶s̶p̶o̶n̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶m̶a̶x̶i̶m̶i̶z̶e̶ ̶e̶n̶g̶a̶g̶e̶m̶e̶n̶t̶."

I've been to Husum! I and my family stayed there when we visited. I'm an American, but my ancestors emigrated from that area. It's a beautiful town and we were shown the utmost hospitality by both the people there and our distant relatives that live nearby.

"The tar archive spec does not specify an upper limit on archive size, but my kernel keeps saying 'no space left on device'. It's obviously a bad kernel."
Re:Software U2F Authenticator for macOS on Thursday September 05, 2019 @08:16PM (#20891854)
I would love to have a hardware-backed soft U2F daemon for Linux. It would be great if this could use a TPM to encrypt the data. What would it take to add such capability to your software? I would be happy to lend my (limited) Rust experience to help make it happen.
Thank you for keeping the web usable. Cheers!

Re:Updates to our Google Voice apps on Monday January 23, 2017 @12:44PM (#13464028)
There has always been a lot of uncertainty over the future of Google Voice, given the lack of updates. While this does give reassurance that the project is still alive, it puts another nail in the Hangouts coffin. It was widely assumed Hangouts would subsume Google Voice, but now that looks very unlikely.
Re:Data Center Use of Static Diffie-Hellman in TLS 1.3 on Wednesday December 28, 2016 @11:47AM (#13271702)
Browser vendors should show a security warning when encountering this behavior. Default configurations of all software must be to disallow. The burden should be on the enterprise to configure their client devices to allow MITM.

I was able to get my F# code to compile using .NET Core yesterday! It's difficult to find the correct project.json parameters and you have to build the latest CLI yourself, but it works.

Re:Why the ‘wet tea leaves’ drug raid was outrageous on Monday January 11, 2016 @04:12PM (#10883602)
Besides bad PR, there are no repercussions, especially with this ruling that the police aren't liable. They can raid lots of homes and catch more drug makers, and they don't have to pay for any inconvenient injuries or deaths.
Re:Why the ‘wet tea leaves’ drug raid was outrageous on Monday January 11, 2016 @04:00PM (#10883469)
This did not satisfy the probable cause. Police dug through the trash and conducted a field test, and the field test incorrectly tested positive for THC. The author criticized these field tests in the original piece as being wildly inaccurate and too easy to coerce into positive results.
