If it enables faster feature releases and better performance, probably?

AI can help companies provide more features or cut costs.

Re:Pray for Chaos on Monday November 02, 2026 @09:27AM (#50337276)
This is exactly what happened when manufactures could offshore production. They didn't care (sure there was PR "caring" but they still outsourced) how it would impact their former workers or company towns. https://www.sfgate.com/business/article/levi-strauss-aims-to...
It's a simple narrative. The majority of people loves simple narratives.
Re:The $6.3B Binance Hack Was Pulled Off in Just 20 Minutes on Friday October 30, 2026 @02:31PM (#50308233)
How can you trust it? Like how does it resolve if I got my Weird Al toupee from eBay? Is it if someone shipped me a box? Smart contracts make sense when there's a large, public event.
Re:Backdoors in official Claude Code extensions on Friday October 30, 2026 @12:47PM (#50306558)
Exactly and why wouldn't the thieves publish to the official VS Code or Open VSX market places?
Re:Anthropic hacked to deliver remote access trojan on Friday October 30, 2026 @12:04PM (#50305885)
According to Felix from Anthropic: no [1]. This didn't seem to impact the official VS Code repository, etc.

Is there any Crypto that can be used for refunds due to fraud? That's my major concern. Until then I'll be stuck with Visa/Mastercard/Paypal etc.

1shooner posted this link: https://www.binance.com/en/square/post/10-30-2026-claude-cod... this was not the official extension. Supply Chain is very important, please only use official builds. From the link above:

A malicious version of Anthropic’s Claude Code VS Code extension, version 2.1.313, was published to the Open VSX registry on Oct. 30. According to ChainCatcher, security researcher Paul McCarty, known as 6mile, described the finding in a post on the OpenSource Malware blog. Researchers confirmed the analyzed Open VSX release was malicious and submitted a threat report about the same version on Microsoft’s VS Code Marketplace as a precaution.

Re:Why are good developers so wary of agentic development? on Thursday October 29, 2026 @12:02PM (#50291223)
Gary Tan has said markdown is code. Personally I see my job as establishing the architecture, creating tests, lint rules, etc. for my agents. Monitor the code, but if there's an issue create a new agent that monitors performance, etc.
Re:Early progress on accelerating drug development with Claude on Wednesday October 28, 2026 @11:47AM (#50275652)
tldr; No sane drug professionals would have designed a relatively simple compound (144 Atomic Mass) as a Multiple Sclerosis drug

I think human review may screw things up. If you look at dimethyl fumarate[1], no card carrying medicinal chemist would have taken this serious. No pharma exec would have risked 100s of millions of dollars for clinical research trials.

  - 1950s people notices that a wood polish cleared psoriasis. Topical formulation worked.
  - 1990s an oral formulation was created.
  - 2000s people noticed people treated for psoriasis that had MS, had fewer MS symptoms while taking this molecule.
  - 2017 dimethyl fumerate is approved for MS.

Re:Wealth Inequality in America drawn to scale on Wednesday October 28, 2026 @09:13AM (#50273014)
Income isn't wealth. Like you could tax Sergei Brin 1,000,000% of his annual salary and he'd be fine (he earns 1 dollar a year).
Re:Wealth Inequality in America drawn to scale on Wednesday October 28, 2026 @07:15AM (#50271742)
There are two versions of wealth taxes for nonliving people that make a lot of sense:

   1) Endowments, Trusts, and nonprofits
   2) The Estate Tax

Yes, Claude + skills is what we use too. Big picture, all of the old BI players are living on borrowed time. If you have to drag and drop; you'll be dropped.

I have loved D3 for more than a decade but I'd never recommend it to a client because maintenance requires a large learning curve. Not any more, ${YourAIAgent} + D3 is awesome.
Math and Computer Science have low costs to verify answers. Biology is high due to reagents and instrumentation costs.

I'd love to see that number. Are those the parked domains or actual sites? I'm guessing Wordpress adds to those numbers.
If you haven't read Careless People, I can't recommend it enough.

With Muse, people can enter their bank account information and medical information so that it can work hard for them. For this, they need a lot of training material.
