All bitcoins are legally questionable; but no: ones that can be traced to contract killings not just stealing do not trade at a discount.
It is about when Google realized GPUs were about to go exponential; they may have missed some opportunities but they were well ahead of the curve.
I am sure the are other typical Google fumbles that would have meant they were not the victor; but I am sure an equivalent service would be mainstream today if AI had not dramatically changed the economics.
[also Google bought DeepMind in 2014; 'way beforehand' is and odd way to look at it]
Stadia is dead because if you have a data-center of GPUs you are using them for AI. It has nothing to do with input lag and graphics degradation.

I know not everyone loves them; but `Claude rewrite the performance bottlenecks in Rust` works so well it is hard to see the security surface area and harder reason about performance as something that should be paid in core.

Not ready for strait output on a special effects driven big budget show who are more then happy to pay someone to sit there for days rotoscoping. These are not the only professionals wanting to use special effects. Would anyone complain if MrBeast's video got the blend of the texture of his cloaths a bit rough?

You already can run the Go tsc in WASM using mature tools; but it further amplifies the memory and performance difference between the Rust version (which maps more cleanly onto WASM's design).

Wait WHAT! I am struggling to review the deluge of AI-written code (I assume like everyone else) but I never ever considered shipping something I didn't understand? I sometimes need the AI to walk me though it a bit; and I am not saying it couldn't smuggle though obfuscated code; but I at least an understanding of its apparent function.

Wouldn't an LLM just write a python script to convert an intermediate language without the triggering phrases and letter counting.

Isn't this a move in the other direction. Workers and traditional Lambda need to you write short lived event handlers; this is about running a standard server.

The problem is you have to be noteworthy enough to be considered; and are going to be in close proximity of atrocities (hopefully trying to prevent them). Realistically this means a higher percentage of laureate are now generally accepted to have some complicity in atrocities then the percentage of normal people.

It sounds like they have mislead the court and that certainly should be punished.
However storing them idle in a locked filing cabinet for a conservationist to reference in 100 years may well still be valuable.

In my opinion it is more important that FOI laws are balanced even if that dosn't ensure the outcome I would prefer of giving the public access to the scans.
Re:Treachery in the Rodin Museum 3D Scan Verdict
on Sunday October 04, 2026 @03:50AM (#49951621)
The scans guide conservation work, concerving the statues is a public benefit.
Whilst I think on balance the scans should be public; it is more important that the FOI laws strike a perfect balance of enabling efficient administration whilst shinning enough light to reduce corruption.
I would not want museums to be reluctant to create scans and archives that compromise their short term funding models if they are useful for conservation.

If I want to preserve the privacy of my users I will avoid using massive behavior capturing networks like Cloudflare. The is no world where giving them the tracking is better then just ensuring I anonymize my logs. If my users don't trust me; and are informed enough to understand what this service dose and doesn't cover they are just going to assume I can fingerprint them in some other way.
