No longer take anything too seriously anymore?

That was a very 90s 'thing'. Today people, especially young people, are exceedingly lacking in levity. Everything is serious.

Toyota would have gone bankrupt in post-War Japan if it wasn't from massive US demand in the Korean War.

The Vespa popularized by Hollywood's Roman Holiday propped up a post-War Italy.

Ping-Pong Diplomacy of the 70s gifted China its electronics manufacturing (think: PONG) turning it from a 3rd world backwater to what it is today. The exchange was in removing the 'Gang of Four' and the drugs associated with it.

---

The US was put into a privileged position as reserve currency of the WORLD in Bretton Woods. This is with the understanding/responsibility that the US would act as World Police and prop up foreign economies.

That is the system that is ending.

You start with Marcus Aurelius and work your way up to Nietzsche.

Do you think the masses have a taste for anything but 'junk food' writing at this point?
Re:The Golden Rule for Becoming a Better Writer on Sunday August 23, 2026 @09:28AM (#49408714)
That offers no solution to the masses, only the individual. The former its a much more difficult and demanding discussion.

As a Nietzschean it is amusing, this argument that Christianity is losing favor because it is...not moral enough!

Truly our institutions are post-Christianity. The herd morality has out survived Christianity itself. Nietzsche's nightmare

Sounds exactly like the population worth monitoring the most

The taste of the masses will always be vulgar, by very definition of the word. Vulgar as in commonplace.
They will lose to Tesla cabs, due to price and not having full control of their supply chain.

I call bullshit on you comparing what was obviously a 2000s+ phenomenon with that of closer to the 1800s.
Re:Most of the US economy is in a recession on Sunday March 08, 2026 @09:45PM (#47303876)
Less: "its a bubble"

More: "labor market and consumer spending is less meaningful than ever before"

The masses are unable to truly internalize the latter.

* 02/22/1993 Jeffrey Epstein obtains Zorro Ranch from King

* 02/22/1993 Jeffrey SINclair: Babylon 5 debut

-------

"Something as big as Epstein’s operation starting up will usually have comms sent marking it.

This show explains a likely “intent” of why Epstein was allowed to meet and interact in suspect ways with so many important political and business people.

It clarifies the affiliation of Epstein. Note his (O'Hare) date of birth being as the world signed agreement to cooperate at CERN.

So let’s go through the show and we may just gleam a heck of a lot about intent. Note the pilot being about clearing Jeffrey Sinclairs name of suspicion of murder.

------

He was removed after the first season due to mental health issues. Meaning he went off the rails for at least some of the people who agreed to back him. Therefore we cannot assume anything Jeffrey Epstein did after 1994 with children was approved by all sides. On the contrary, this disagreement suggests at least some of the parties initially on board had strongly changed their mind about him once they saw what he was doing.

------

The way MK ops work is hidden, like a submarine that surfaces only when it’s time to attack. If one person dies there isn’t necessarily clearly understood of who pulled the string, and even when it is the way it works is specifically designed to be unpunishable. This seems to be the point of what Epstein was greenlit to do.

Finding who is tied to past murders. Create Leverage to prevent more murders of those participating in truce."

I envy the simplicity of your worldview, it must be so efficient to invoke.
I'm convinced that the ills of America are pronounced, moreso than any other developed Nation, to prevent further brain drain from other nations to the US (with, among other things, its privileged reserve currency).

The T-Rex was originally reported to have the same exact speed as the Tinny Lizzie, the Ford Model T.

The King Carnivore...how many horses did the Model T put out to pasture?

Almost as if the discovery of the former...had greater purpose.

But it's so satisfying to one's ego that a single cause is the issue. All complexity of societal changes in the last 50 years can be outmanuevered. Simplification is sexy.

The best is yet to come.

My son is non verbal, non mobile.

We live the life of the Servant. We used to define ourselves by our profession, now we define ourselves as "special needs parent". This is a step closer to actually being more human. How trivial our lives were before, how we wasted so many hours on shit that didn't matter!

Hijacking this to give advice critical for a baby who is only a few months old.

OP, are you in the US? Contact your states "Birth To 3" program immediately. You can get a Vision Specialist to come to your house. I imagine other countries have similar programs.

---------

Reading the rest of the thread, you HN'ers are very blessed to be ignorant that such a program exists.
