I have an X9-15p with the X7 CPU and an M4 Max 16” MBP. I love the X9, it’s so light and powerful enough for most of what I do. That being said, it’s nowhere near as powerful as the M4 Max, not even close, and here in the US, there’s no 64GB model available.

So basically the same price as an already decently upgradable Thinkpad P1 G8 on sale, but with a terrible screen and janky chassis. Plus it costs about the same to upgrade as getting a new machine, but then you no longer have the ability to throw Linux on the old one and donate it to a school or less fortune person. Tough sell.

I never got the point of these, since they’ve always got huge power bricks. I definitely love Mac Minis/Studios and have also built a bunch of custom SFF PCs around cases like the Ghost S1/NCase/Dan Case, etc. I don’t think they’re better than consoles, not even close since Windows is clunky and the Xbox has quick resume and plays 4K Blu-ray’s, but they’re great for keeping your desk organized.

Meh, I recently built 7700X and 13700K towers. Both with premium ASUS motherboards. The Intel one was faster, the CPU was cheaper when I bought it, it booted insanely fast compared to the AMD system and it accepted the overclocked RAM without fuss or tinkering. On top of that it ran cooler (even though it uses more wattage at load) and had true Thunderbolt (rather than USB4) out of the box. It’s also well known that AMD systems use much more power at idle.

That’s a shame. TV is amazing these days. HBO especially, is pumping out amazing shows, like Succession, Watchmen, Chernobyl, etc. I’m only subscribed to HBO and Netflix, so I never see any ads either.

Usually the new XX60's are great because you get the previous XX70's performance at the lower XX60 price. This time you're getting the previous XX70 performance for the previous XX70 price...more than 2 years later. Weak!

That's a fantastic album. I can't really understand the lyrics to most black metal songs, even if they speak English, so I always listen to them as if it were classical music or a video game soundtrack, and just enjoy the highs and lows.
