This is an accurate description of lunchtime at the digital shitshow where I work. An open plan kitchen really is the handiwork of the idiot. Sometimes I'm glad the toilets were prebuilt when we moved in, or else I fear we'd have open plan shitting as well.Even being told that they have the wrong address seems to be no deterrent for some recruiters. One day soon, even the richest YC alumni are going to be eclipsed by whoever figures out how to disintermediate these pricks into oblivion.
It doesn't. If I want to copy some text and it's in a vertical split, well... shit. Time to break out the tmux manual and see if I can figure out how to move this pane above the other one. You know what, screw it. I'll just open a new window entirely, and re-run the test there so I can copy the output.
That's how tmux handles copy/paste with vertical splits.
I like the idea of story points as a tool for communicating with each other about rough estimates. I don't like story points as a source of data for management to put into spreadsheets and use in dubious "velocity calculations". I especially don't like the results of those calculations being used to measure my individual productivity and set expectations about my future work rate.
The language of agile has been co-opted to suit the needs of mediocre managers.
