That's why most power utilities in the US are considered regulated monopolies. They are owned by shareholders but any changes must be approved by their public utilities commission first.
Re:Airbnb bans making guests do dishes and take out the trash on Thursday October 22, 2026 @03:06PM (#50199666)
Hotels are just easier. The last AirBnb I was at asked to wash dishes and load the dishwasher. They provided no dishwasher detergent. What do you expect?
That's fine. I'll just stick to TikTok shop for my radio equipment purchases.
Re:Diesel prices in U.S. top $6 a gallon for first time on Friday September 11, 2026 @03:32PM (#49664089)
Years ago you could easily get $10k+ off MSRP on an EV. Why did you still hold out?
If I were the cop I would have cited the person who called the police for being a nuisance and went about my day.
There are so many used M4 Mac Minis for sale on marketplace for $600+ now that the people I guess got bored of the local models and decided to see if they could make their money back as they probably bought them when they were $399 on sale earlier this year. I lowball them every time.
Re:"It works better in the app " on Friday August 28, 2026 @11:45AM (#49480281)
You can absolutely buy a Tesla and operate it for the life of the vehicle without an app or even a smartphone. They have key fobs and keycards for this purpose. Go into the store or order online. Everything can be handled by the Tesla store if you are selling the car and need to transfer it to another person.
Well I guess you speak for everyone. Let's ban a persons right to repair.

Maybe people should stop buying cars with crappy touch screens then? The touchscreens in my Model 3 has been amazing. Ever since I took delivery of it in 2019. Manufactures need to do better.

This post made me boot up my 2013 MacBook Air. 800ish cycles on the battery still at 81% life. A OS update was just released 17 days ago. Amazing.
Maybe if congress gave a rats ass about consumer protections and privacy we wouldn't be in this spot. But money talks and shit walks.
Re:Apple's Siri revamp reportedly delayed again on Thursday February 12, 2026 @12:43AM (#46985264)
I wish I could be assigned a project and make no progress in over a decade and still have a job.
In a few short years some of these ICE workers will be brought up on charges and sentences for their crimes. Just because no one has the gaul to arrest them today doesn't mean they won't in the future. No statute of limitations here.
I frankly dont a fly f** about those users. They should seek out their safe space if they have a problem.

Re:Congressional lawmakers 47% pts better at picking stocks on Wednesday December 03, 2025 @11:15AM (#46136229)
They should not have this ability. They can invest all they want into ETFs but nothing specific. This is such absolute bullshit. Run for congress and leave with generational wealth. Pisses me off.
Launches it only one Chrome lol.
It's actually not a bad truck if you bought one in the past half year or so. They worked out a majority of the kinks. FSD works really darn good as well.

This is my primary use of AI. Looking for a new mountain bike and using AI to list and compare parts of the bike and which is best for my use case scenario. Works pretty well so far.
