When you enact prohibition, people don't stop drinking, you get moonshine and stills blowing up.

This is completely bullshit

a community than is supposed to be ran on maturity and sharing is now being governed with an iron fist.

if kik wanted that name, they should have offered honey first, not vague threats of lawers

if npm wanted to arbitrate, they need to be neutral and not be for either side (IE don't say you need to pay 1M for the pleasure, but don't just hand them the name).

the guy was an ass, but kik started it all off by being an ass

The big question is how they are going to grow, or is it small enough to only ever need 3 people (err...)

A company needs to grow and while this will work for the short term, to attract talent you need to have a talent pool.

The thing has a 150 kW to 191 kW rating, granted on closer look it seems the Porsche one is shared across a lot of trims so maybe they didn't see it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Volkswagen_Group_diese...

guess audi is the one that could be in deeper trouble.

Porsche have a bit more go juice than a lot of the other stuff.

If they did a ECU remap (likely) coupled with some hw changes to the engine (maybe, maybe not), they would likely have at least suspected something.

Like, I can tune my Lancer Evo, with stock parts, to around 360 chp / 290 whp from 291 chp / 220 whp. This will put more strain on the parts, to nuke the little gas mileage, up the emissions (no CARB), and void the warranty on the drivetrain. In order to do that the ECU needs to be flash (by say cobbs tuning) and if there was a cheating thing they will need to be aware of it or else it'd be likely gone in the flash.

If I was to put on new parts and make it go even more... Then for sure you need a new tune to make it actually work properly.

just look at the s-class, anything that shows up in a s-class will likely be in an accord in about 10 years

radar guided cruise control in s-class around 05, accord gets "adaptive cruise control" in 2014 and standard on 15.

Honestly, his target users are those who needs a free place to try out web coding, which means many of his users are likely not well off enough to be able to want to throw money at something that they get the full use out of.

I won't say the thing is bad, but the business behind it is bad. Got to have a viable targeted userbase as the core, and handle any new userbase as they come in.
