Not sure why you bring up Reddit

I think you missed the obvious joke
> In addition, if people are working less than 8-10 productive hours per day, then they are clearly not being as productive as they could be.

Yep, very insightful. I hope I never work for this guy

No, since it would reduce demand from investors.

Look at Japan- their housing is surprisingly affordable in Tokyo despite being in a major city. Due to flexible zoning laws, houses can be built almost anywhere. Houses are deprecating assets, like cars, rather than investments, like houses in America/Canada/etc.

That last part is pretty silly...

Re:Starbucks Frappuccino Sales Tell a Troubling Tale on Thursday June 21, 2018 @12:07AM (#17362078)
Funny you mention McDonalds, because that's where I buy my fraps now instead of Starbucks. They taste exactly the same but are significantly cheaper.
Re:Firefox is back. It's time to give it a try on Thursday June 21, 2018 @12:05AM (#17362070)
Strangely, I've also found that Opera's android browser is by far the fastest, very noticeably.
Affirmative action is racism, not "reverse-racism". "reverse-racism" is a racist term since it is used to dismiss prejudice against certain races. Racism is racism, no matter the race of the target or the race of the perpetrator.
That it prefers certain races over others?
We have cheap earplugs too. These are earbuds, as in they play music through them
Re:Asian-American admissions at Harvard on Saturday June 16, 2018 @03:51AM (#17326482)
Harvard, along with most other private universities, use racism in their college admissions. It's very sad that we still have to deal with this, after history has showed favoritism towards certain races has never ended well.
Re:Asian-American admissions at Harvard on Saturday June 16, 2018 @03:49AM (#17326472)
But yet Asians perform the best on standardized tests, not whites who comes from England?
Re:GitLab sees huge spike in project imports on Tuesday June 12, 2018 @02:44AM (#17291188)
I'm talking about this. A GitHub specific feature that helps people out.

What a dramatic article over something so silly. WSJ has really gone downhill.
Re:GitLab sees huge spike in project imports on Sunday June 03, 2018 @08:27PM (#17223433)
I love GitLab, and I use a private instance at work, but I won't use it to store my public projects for one sole reason: you can't hide your email address shown in commits.

This was posted today, but was flagged & removed without discussion. I'm reposting to encourage discussion, not censorship, about an important stigma that exists in our society.
It costs $1500 - $2600, but it still has a basic integrated graphics card?

The specs do not make this seem worth it...

Your argument fails at that. Considering Google strictly an "advertising" company is a narrow view, even in 2004.

It increases your chances in a competitive system. It's good, not "okay, I guess".

Re:Dorm living for professionals comes to SF on Sunday March 04, 2018 @11:53PM (#16518818)
Nowadays LA is much worse than SF in terms of homeless people.

Not to make you question it further, but after living in the Bay for a long time, I can't wait to leave. I seriously don't think it's a place worth living.

Oh boy, another learning ___ as a ____ developer blog post.
It's been DMCA'd off of github for anyone wondering.
Title makes it sound like someone was actually robbed- a security researcher found a flaw and demonstrated it. No victims yet.
