Using Bing app all the time for access to the chat function. Even moved the app to front of home screen.
Interesting - happened to my sister in law and the account looked like it was hacked. New PFP and no posts.
Re:Bitcoin is not a store of value on Monday September 19, 2022 @09:10AM (#32897816)
Yup - typically referred to as layer 0. The ETH devs cant willy-nilly change the protocol and expect social consensus to agree. As a solo staker i also have the choice of which node and client to run (like you said).

Re:Web3 is a stupid idea on Wednesday September 08, 2021 @02:12PM (#28460978)
Yes - completely agree. it is refreshing to go to a website, hit connect, and boom there is all my data! I think we are only brushing the surface of what is possible with web3. Cant wait for login support to sign up for social media sites.
Re:Ethereum staking – More sustainable crypto on Monday April 26, 2021 @02:25PM (#26946081)
Great question!

The penalties for being offline are equal to the rewards you would have earned. It is okay to be offline if you have minor outage for few hours or if you're moving and will be offline for a few days. You simply would need to go back online for the same amount of time to make your rewards back.

I am a solo staker. My machine churns through about 800 gb/month. I am a huge advocate for solo staking if you have the hardware and have technical ability. I work in finance not software engineering, and i was able to set a machine up with no issue.

The staking base rewards will go down as more stakers stake eth, however, after the merge to PoS (End of year target) fee revenue will be awarded to stakers in addition to the primary staking rewards.

I am a solo staker and its been a blast learning about PoS and participating in the community. Right now you can earn ~7.8% rewards if you lock up your eth on your own validator. Once EIP1559 goes live (July) and the full transition to PoS merge around the end of the year there are some folks on the ETH research team who see rewards conservatievly going to ~25% [1]

Re:Higher quality audio makes people sound smarter on Thursday April 15, 2021 @10:29AM (#26820953)
I use that v moda mic with sennhesier hd598 open back. Had to mod them to connect them, but they’ve worked quite well for many years now. I might need to get a new mic because the volume control is starting to cut in and out if I move it too much. Great recommendation through!
Re:Writing HTML in HTML (2019) on Wednesday April 07, 2021 @09:06AM (#26724300)
I am not a developer. I am simply someone who is fascinated by creating software and websites. I remember taking a HTML/CSS class in high school 12+ years ago and it was one of the most fun classes i've ever taken. Didn't really know i could make a career out of it at the time, but i wish i did. With that said, i love visiting websites that are pure HTML/CSS. They are fast to load and easy to read.

I wonder if they will allow transfers in the future.
Honestly, I've debated going back to wired. I never move my keyboard or mouse from my desk, so I might as well bring back wired peripherals.
Thank you so much! Trying this now.

Re:Simple Math to Set Up a Sales Team on Tuesday December 01, 2020 @10:17AM (#25265875)
As someone who works in Sales Commissions this was a great read. We do things quite differently such as yearly targets vs quarterly. These suggestions are great and straightforward to calculate until you have a large sales team. I wonder how many companies use a system to calc commissions vs using excel. We personally use excel and it can be daunting at times, but allows for more plan flexibility.
Wow that’s creative.
As someone who works closely with Big 4 auditors at a public company, I completely agree. However, typically a firm does not audit and consult the same company at the same time to my knowledge.
It’s all my boss and upper management talk about during meetings. I have a friend who use to work at Gartner. It’s very much pay-to-play.
