Fish disks contained mostly freeware/public domain as far as I remember. Not open-source software.

Re:Vim 8.0 is coming on Wednesday April 13, 2016 @02:28PM (#11490879)
Interesting view. I've never seen vi as a standard. But it makes sense.
Re:Vim 8.0 is coming on Wednesday April 13, 2016 @08:58AM (#11487714)
Soo, are these changes already in the git repository? Because the readme is still pointing out that the repository is for 7.4 and the tags/branches are not very helpful. Did I miss something?
Re:Vim 8.0 is coming on Wednesday April 13, 2016 @08:54AM (#11487691)
Normally you should be able to yank the lines you want to copy to the * register (check :registers). The * register is basically the clipboard. You can use it to copy stuff from and to Vim. It does not necessarily work under every OS, but so far in Windows and OSX it worked fine on console and GUI.

For commenting and uncommenting you can check the NerdCommenter plugin.

Re:Vim 8.0 is coming on Wednesday April 13, 2016 @08:43AM (#11487631)
Nonetheless he is right. As far as I remember Vim is based on the code of an editor that was similar to vi, and not vi itself.

Re:How to Set Up a Common Lisp Web Environment on Saturday December 05, 2015 @08:39AM (#10681832)
You can still use Emacs+SLIME, Vim+Slimv or whatever. It's just mentioned because of the fact that sbcl does not have readline support (last time I looked).
Re:How to Set Up a Common Lisp Web Environment on Saturday December 05, 2015 @05:21AM (#10681469)
On OSX I also found 'rlwrap' useful when using sbcl from the commandline.

Re:Darpa creates prosthetic arm that “feels” on Monday September 14, 2015 @09:21AM (#10214897)
Is the top picture actually the DARPA arm without it's `skin` or is it a render of Big Boss' arm from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain? It looks very similar.

Edit: Ah, the caption says DARPA, sorry :)
