Would a regular person be stupid if they believe what OpenAI promises? They may just toggle the privacy promising switches in the settings as per what they advertise. They don't expect things to leak out after that.

This is huge, Android getting locked down to such levels should be sounding alarm bells. They are slowly removing everything that makes Android good.

They do, but they always use that weird design by default on KDE Plasma. It's a concious decision to go with that weird margins and spacing between elements

The only problem I have with this is that free speech is being limited. I don't believe the documentary nor do I belive their government. What if both sides are promoting some sort of a propaganda?

I used to find elementary OS extremely good looking a few years ago, now it just looks bad to me. I guess I'm used to all the modern ui designs I see out there.

I cannot use dart again after trying out Kotlin. Dart is just not good.

Dart reaches nowhere near kotlin. Kotlin is a beautiful language.

The clubhouse front page is filled with trash tiktok title like names. It made me cringe everytime I opened it, what's the point of asking me my interests if it is never respected. I uninstalled clubhouse a few days ago

I really don't like that default dock. It's thick and wide while serving no purpose other than showing app icons.

Re:Ask HN: Alternatives to Google Photos?

You think a random person who would never look or care about tech would understand the privacy issues? Absolutely not. All they'd know is what the companies say and advertise.
Re:Ask HN: Alternatives to Google Photos?
on Monday May 31, 2021 @12:17AM (#27340055)
The fight for privacy is absolutely worth it. Those people have no idea about what they are getting into, they don't know anything. That is not something to base upon.
