Re:Sam Altman: All the RAM Should Belong to Me, So I Can Charge People...

@paxy said it well in a comment in this thread.
"Scarcity is because of AI demand. Data centers are set up to meet that demand. It’s quite rich to say “evil companies are taking up all the ram” when they are serving billions of users, and you want to do the exact same thing for yourself."

Journalism has a stricter moral code. The whole point of journalism is to spread correct info. The point of business (most of the time) is to make money. These are very different. Also, since when did we give business men a pass?

That doesn't change the fact that it is true

Sure enough, one minute later he posted a comment lol
It wouldn't be better for players. It would be better for companies because the user no longer owns the computer that runs the game.

Yes, it may be dumb, but it isn't useless because it is both a) is a benchmark and b) is not picked by openai

Zen is great on Mac, but on Windows it is nowhere near how good Arc felt (on MacOS). I think this is just a problem with the OS, with it not supporting SwiftUI and all that, but nonetheless, there doesn't seem to be a good browser for Windows. I am still using Chrome on Windows because A) I already use it and B) Vertical tabs are usable, and C) I have enough RAM for it

I made a thing that uses Nitter to have a revchron timeline of people in the tech space. No algorithm, every post shows up (unless you filter out an account). Feedback is appreciated: https://techtwitter-lime.vercel.app

Looking forward to Radian browser, it looks like Arc but is made by an individual, not a company

They are unique. The UX of Arc was (and still is) MUCH, MUCH better than Chrome's. Or Firefox's. Or Helium's. Or Edge's.

Are you a creator of clop? I love the app, didn't realize they were on HN. Also windows support would be great.

Let's say you wanted to watch a video while doing a workout or doing the dishes and you wanted to make it follow you around (I can't find anywhere whether or not it has a motor to rotate, but that is what was rumored so I am going off of that info)

Can't iPads call 911 somehow? They don't have a cell modem. I've never really thought about it though...

I wonder if this works as a screen mirroring device, so you could mirror your iPad to this device. Wouldn't work very well, but that might be a way to watch media
Re:Apple HomeView

It was widely speculated that this wouldn't be a whole event or Livestream. It's similar to how the 16e was released about 1 1/2 years ago
