That artificial brightness limitation sounds especially diabolical, people should be able to enjoy high brightness as it (potentially) existed and not have to deal with hard-coded limitations. I'm not from mame though.

Rendering dots using circle texture sounds nice but why are the dots in your renderings the size of something from pac-man? They look comically large.

If women are empowered in any way, it is just a simple moral imperative that we force them to regret it.
Re:Trump's EPA insists climate change isn't a danger on Thursday March 13, 2025 @05:50PM (#43357565)
Tend to agree. Been through so many spring summer fall winter changes that I've just grown to accept that the climate changes. It's not a big deal.
Oh my god, gay sex. Certainly an appopriate thing for 2025 era hackers to rebel against.

Fighting for freedom is outdated, stale, archaic. Perhaps the site can be updated to celebrate the DOGE fighters.
Why is this posted here. What has it to do with hacking.
Are you drunk.
Re:The Doge Takeover Is Worse Than You Think on Thursday February 27, 2025 @05:30PM (#43199270)
Flagged of course.
Nice job creating this interesting game. Whatever changes, have a classic mode to keep it as is!
Re:Why does the US have it in for gig workers? on Sunday February 23, 2025 @03:38PM (#43153006)
Small aside, this doesn't read right for me? I assume the (the wikipedian) meant '"above and beyond" for their employers"', not employees.
Such divisive sentiments. It's no wonder you got flagged.
Re:Show HN: Fast Chess (Made with ChatGPT) on Wednesday February 19, 2025 @04:44PM (#43108133)
It's nice enough. When I uncheck "computer plays black" I did expect the computer to play white.
Re: on Monday February 17, 2025 @05:09PM (#43083776)

Don't acquire anything you can't self-insure! Yes even "you", presumably Well To Do hackernews reader, that kinda shoulda knowa better. Stop wasting your money paying insurance, and purchase within your means.
I wonder why ksec is doing this to us. Promoting AI slop videos on HN. What dark path leads someone down to this state of affairs. It's just not right.
I feel like you've made a mistake somewhere in your process and should reconsider everything.
Re:Midjourney web experience is now open to everyone on Wednesday August 21, 2024 @04:10PM (#41313768)
Open to everyone, but you must have Google or Discord account. Has the definition of everyone changed?
Re:Whisperfile on Monday August 19, 2024 @05:07PM (#41294600)
I don't understand the implication of colorful text, it just seems hard to read. Why not just text?
Re:Show HN: I Made a Website for Problems on Sunday August 18, 2024 @01:40PM (#41283850)
Requires google account, no thanks.
Re:YouTube Video to Tabs and Lyrics on Thursday August 15, 2024 @03:52PM (#41259717)
I don't often read hackernews for Lamucal AI spams but when I do, it's always nice.
I like how there is virtually no difference between Hacker News and Reddit in these days.
How often does this need to be spammed here?
Am I supposed to use some AI bot to summarize all this shit? Ain't no one got time to read 3000+ comments. Any good links?
Re:Reading QR codes without a computer on Monday January 22, 2024 @07:07PM (#39097432)
Can not read website without Javascript
I don't like how I have to guess which article the comments are in response to, is this dark pattern copied from amazon product reviews or what is the deal with HN these days?
