Yes, like Google does it. If they sell it, the other party has a copy to keep and use. If they rent access charged per query they have an income stream.
I am currently considering buying a Leapmotor B05 here in Australia. My main concern is the cars are distributed here by Stellantis (which have a 20% stake in Leapmotor). Huge international conglomerate, but I have no confidence in their warranty support or parts supply.
I wouldn’t have the same concerns over buying a BYD or an MG Chinese electric car.

I have to suspect that there are so many because there has been a propaganda campaign against progress, I suspect as a branch of the fossil fuel PR to say that climate change is not real, what we are doing now is fine and we shouldn’t change anything.
Interesting that “the greens” have so much power in a country which is very strongly two-party in its politics. Or did you mean “environmentalists”?
I see that it uses stacked images, so that can account for the lack of normal focus cues.
I still have misgivings that it is AI generated or modified, but assume that the judges have done their due diligence. I’m a little saddened that I now have to question things such as this.
I’m inclined to agree with your initial statement but have difficulty in determining what is the standard for a sincerely held belief. That seems like a very grey area and thus subject to abuse and capriciousness.
And the ink is virtual too.

Every speed is safe until it suddenly isn’t. But by then it is too late.
An aspect that I’m not seeing discussed here (which you touch upon) is that these companies have bred the dogs. If they breed a pit bull instead of a labrador and then set it loose, it increases their culpability.
I have to ask, how do the agents know how to do this backing? Is it emergent behaviour or were they trained to do it? If they were trained for it then it can hardly be surprising when they do indeed go and hack when asked to complete a task.
If they are a year from AGI, then the private investors can hang on and use their new super intelligence on their own tasks to make themselves considerably more wealthy now and into the future, so why would they want to sell that power to anyone else?
I’m reminded of a television show at the end of the 1970s, The Body in Question written and presented by Dr Jonathan Miller. In one episode he explains how through history our understanding of the human body has always been shaped by or recent technological advances, such as steam engines, the automated loom etc.
We now try to understand the brain and the human mind in terms of computers, and of course that only gives us a poor analog of reality which may somewhat assist with understanding it, but which may hinder our more complete understanding.
> He serves as Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board for AlzChem (a company that makes creatine monohydrate)
So I’m going to be highly skeptical.
Remember a few years ago when electric vehicles were “impossible” because they would place too much strain on the grid?
When it was the USA doing it, leading the world in manufacturing, taking industry from other countries, that was just good business, efficiency, exceptionalism, and the world would have to accept it.
Now that it is someone else taking the lead, it’s wrong and unfair and a very bad thing.
The article could also have referenced The Dictator in which many words are ordered to be changed to Aladeen, which we have seen with the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario.

Interesting. I wonder if that also applies to small groups of people on social media?
Your last paragraph could pertain to the use of Flock cameras on the population in general.
> If we don't crack down hard on this shit now we'll pay for it later.
The USA provided an excellent example for us to learn from. But I do wonder if this cancer of corruption has already spread worldwide and is too powerful to stop the well financed populism through which it spreads.

“You’re folding it wrong”
Fatal error? More like “a spot of bother”.
Yes, though the second part is the more important and also possible without the other.
