NGOs don't "fail miserably" - their actual goal is laundering tax money, and they very much do succeed!
California PG&E charges an average of $0.45/kWh. They know EVs are going to increase demand. They killed NEM1 and NEM2 to prevent folks from installing solar, and those with solar have to pay a monthly fee for the privilege of being connected. Heat pump my a$$.

Re:Tesla's 'self-driving' software fails at train crossings on Wednesday September 17, 2025 @07:50PM (#45282944)
Elon: buys some TSLA TSLA: wheeeee!!!! Shorts: oh sh!t, damage control now! Opinion piece writer: here, thx for the dough! NBCs and Reuters: posted, thx for the dough! HNs and Reddits: thx for engagement!

Nothing newsworthy has actually happened, we're just feeding the trolls in shorts, and sending the clicks to justify the dough.

Re:Tesla excluded from EV buyer credits in California proposal on Wednesday November 27, 2024 @12:36AM (#42253251)
CA didn't need EV credits to help electrification, could just waive 10% sales tax on EVs...
Yes, Model 3 charging works out about the same sa fuelling a Prius C.

One would think solar is the answer given such price per kWh. PG&E have lobbied for NEM3 and got it, to make rooftop solar less viable, look that up!

Re:Toyota EV with a Manual Transmission on Tuesday October 31, 2023 @01:32PM (#38088405)
Nope. Returned my Subaru after the lease because of that "stepped program": CVT emulated slushbox shifting instead of keeping optimal RPM. Stupid.

Toyota hybrid works like a proper CVT and is not infuriating.

One-pedal driving EVs make perfect sense too.

The article says nothing about protecting the license checks from being disabled. That's the secret sauce in a few companies, they do really interesting work.

So, please, "Average safety cameras" and they don't help when someone's not paying attention
