I'm 27 now and I feel the same way. I still think I won't end up with kids with time running short but I'm an uncle to two boys and a friends daughter calls me uncle. I just hope I have enough money to send them all on adventures. So I really hope what the gp says is true. Though it will be harder to have just the right kids books laying about.
Try asking you uncles why they say X before you share that diatribe. It'll help to temper your arguments with their perspective of how some particular inspector wouldn't even talk to them about an exception to a rule which maybe isn't applicable to this one of five locations. Seriously it wasn't till FEMA that you mentioned organizations people bad mouthing government employees might, Might, refer to. So as worded your talk will fall on deaf ears.
You aren't. I really like it but the disconnect between old style apps and the new style is jarring. The new apps and interface would be great on a tablet but feels clunky on my old laptop with a bad track pad. Also searching has been compartmentalized so to do some searches you need to type Win+w and know why you search is blank. Of course Win+r is still there so in practice its pretty easy to avoid.
I think there is something there. My 13 year old sister does not want a Facebook. I got her to get a g+ thinking 4 way video chat would be just her thing and she posted for a bit but she and her friends prefer Skype); the AIM of today. Ten years of that sort of success and whatever is HN then will be talking about FB the way HN speaks of Yahoo now.
The two following comments are spammy but the only real issue with jmduke's comment was the form. Had it been:
>You could also say: "Personally, I like to understand problems, rather than grok them."
It would have gotten the point across that the grandparent's comment was an unfair dig at a style of speech rather than the content of that speech.
Gupta's defense is the sort of defense that will reach people like my mother convincing them that marijuana is not evil and has real medical uses. That outcome is a good thing and I do not wish any harm to his reputation now because it will be against my interest and I'm hoping/assuming having "done the research" this time will give persons like you ammo for pushing him to defend his position in the future.
I don't think the past goes away but generally I'd rather not condition people to not admit mistakes. And here I'd rather win now than be right now. Then maybe be right in the future.
I love this argument. It needs to become a reflexive and memetic response whenever anyone places someone in a damned-if-you-do situation for improving their position.
I didn't see this. Sorry.
I mostly agree with your penultimate paragraph. But in answer to the why people should want to hide their porn habits: it is enough that other people would judge a person for porn, or any other habit, to discourage open sharing. For instance, I smoke weed very infrequently and think this is okay but it's not something I would be okay being open about.

I know what you will say in response though - it is only optional for now right? No! It's de facto censorship. As the game goes the "smart" choice will become agreeing to the censorship while keeping a vpn or something to route about it for fear of having your record requested during divorce proceedings or some thing like that. Maybe for fear the list would be leaked . It wouldn't look good for a teacher to be on the wrong list.
Making it illegal would be one thing but it sounds like this would damage the internet itself in the UK.
Don't you mean 'man tar'? The most common usage is right in the intro. I don't use it much but always have to do the same...
Why didn't you make the circle constant a circle in your manifesto? I'm not sure but it seems the function composition symbol could be safely reused without confusion or perhaps a larger circle with a drawn radius. Wouldn't a circle have avoided some of the Tau criticisms?
True, my response was a bit muddled by replying, maybe, too broadly to the question about what we're upset about. I changed the subject and I'm sorry to have made that mistake.
Because we'd like to meet our family directly at the gate?
I like your argument but meeting family at the gate was one of my favorite things as a child. And it won't be enough unless I can arbitrarily check through security to meet my family.
I like this theory a bit but I don't think the part about getting positive publicity works out. They don't really look good here and, though I haven't read Reddit's response yet, I don't think they're going to look good to hardly anyone. At least not the 20-35 year olds who were aware of the snafu.
I think I cleaner interpretation is that they were aware that the push might fail but figured going back on the setup as they've done wouldn't set them back too far. And the move, even if it failed, would set them up for basically the same change in the future of the consoles life. Remember they changed the Xbox dashboard a lot. They can still add the planned sharing features to download only games. At first only to developer opt-in games then just the MS published games will have the additional features. After that other publishers will need to have their games use the extra features for licensed download games.
So everyone saying they ought to have done both may be right but maybe it wasn't ideal and they reached a bit too far. So they've fallen back and are retooling. I just wish they'd let me take off adverts on the damned main dashboard! I never buy anything and they know it.
Are you posting this because they used the phrase correctly?
Is that really the case? I'd heard that the US did not technically recognize dual citizenship but other nations do. So wouldn't you technically be just a US citizen as far as the US is concerned?
Also, the video's become much more enjoyable at 1.25x or 1.5x speed, depending on the speaker.
One is a "what" the other is a "how".
'Mindblowing' is nearly always a positive thing. I think your comment really made an impression. I did as he said, lounging here with my laptop, and it really was a nice feeling to have the option to reach up and scroll the page with my thumb. I'd like to put three fingers down and tap my left most finger to shuffle tabs but that's impossible now. I'm looking forward to future hardware.
Click to add is faster when adding to the playlist. It's just the addition of the small plus to the play symbol isn't immediately obvious if your mouse is hovering over it. I like it better than click to drag. But drag is surely best for first encounter.
This is a wonderful update. I'll allow that it takes a moment to understand that the playlist along the lower edge should be thought of separately from the navigation it really only takes a moment. And the new front page opening is much more welcoming and I'd say the subtle addition of the (+) on the play symbol is enough of a cue. I never liked seeing the adverts page, so big and open, and found the old left hand navigation cluttered, useless, and to be ignored. But I'm happy to see that everything flows better now and like everything about it.
The artist overview looks much better now that the bio has been added and only a few album covers are showcased followed by a list of the artists most frequented songs. Which is what I want to see. I was always annoyed by the Activity Feed for taking up the space which ought to have been granted to Top Songs. My favorite change is the large Share Song invitation seen after clicking on a song. I'd really like to see Grooveshark replace YouTube for non-video music streaming and linking and I hope making that link so prominent will make it happen.
I do have a couple questions though. As someone who doesn't have an account I didn't see a link to add music and if I wasn't familiar with Grooveshark I wouldn't even know that was an option. Also I was wondering why the Artists Top Songs and Comments aren't switched when viewing a single song. And last, I noticed the radio button has been tucked away nicely. Since it's a switch would you consider leaving the menu up for a half second? That may be an awful idea but switches are meant to be seen and felt so I thought I'd mention it just the same.
edit: Since I was praising the quick sharing might as well: http://grooveshark.com/s/Do+Ya+Thang/4wvNTg?src=5
Well then you might like to know that HN used to be constantly positive when new projects were released here. And were always constructively critical with the critics writing directly to the author with an intent to help.
So when jetcom says HN has become cynical, it's really true.
Yes I think it can be done. I haven't done it but if you ctrl-f CBT one user suggests they've had success replacing their negative self talk.
But it's beside the point dmix is making and distraction from the central point of this thread. This sort of distraction, subtle changes of topic, is a common way discussions fail. If done deliberately it's also a way to appear to have won an argument.
Mating. The route to get there becomes more flexible due to our adaptability but the desire to have sex is instinctual.
That's nice, thanks for sharing. I used exfalso, for which mutagen was written, to build a similar directory structure for my music. Mine was "Audio/[ALBUM_ARTIST]else[ARTIST]/[ALBUM]/[TRACK 00]. - [TITLE].mp3" The one thing it did that your script doesn't is it will enter TPE2 if present and backtrack to TPE1. And similar considerations can be entered for adding a disc prefix for multi disc albums. (Since that anachronism is still relevant.) The only problem was I needed to go back through and delete a bunch of empty directories.
