News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

QLazuli

What a horribly written article. They barely mention what the unboxed model is. They compare it to lean manufacturing, only to explain that it's a stupid comparison. The only negative argument for this "debate" is that it'll be hard to keep the parallel production lines in sync, as if that's not a factor for the +10k parts that go into cars to begin with.
I would get to the same answer via a slightly different path. Their corrupt leaders sold their country to Russia and they pulled it off by exploiting their constituents with anti-nuclear fear mongering.

I'm surprised at how similar it sounds to a Honda S2000. It's making my day to see a Hot Version video on the front page of hacker news, though. They make the best car content imo, and I never would have expected to see it here.

Haha that rx7 video is so unfair, all you can hear is the straight cut gears. 4 rotors definitely sound better but it's still a cool sound imo https://youtu.be/MSbMeLE8qf0?t=19

puts on tinfoil hat They probably intentionally published this to raise awareness of how viable it is for individuals to outperform OpenAI and Meta. Google seems to be the farthest behind, they have the most to gain by the others losing their lead to individuals.

This is the best little nugget of wisdom I've come across in a while, thank you for sharing it. It was well written and concise, and I feel like I understand the world a little better
