Flutes are not girly. In the first book of paradise lost, the hosts of hell march at the sound of "flutes and soft recorders". Of it's good enough for Satan's army, I say it's good enough for a highschooler.
Schools will ditch the AI AND the search engine, too. Masterfully played, google.
Maybe if this 5x production ramp up finds that the demand wasn't there long term we will have a prosumer line after all.
Very cool project. It seems incredible that such a "humble" device for the time would match and beat deep blue. It must be true that software has been living off hardware for a very long time, even if as others comment, the latest developments in software have only been possible after hardware got much much better.
Very sad that the silicon itself is not made in EU.
If you are going bankrupt, you may as well go bankrupt spectacularly.
It's the premise of Terminator, after all.
For the most part, yes. We luckily still have AAA studios run by creative developers like Kojima
It's always nice to get a new data point confirming that exercise and lifting is good your you, even better if it's through a new mechanism like this one.
Just a reminder that the alternative to this was a corrupt russian puppet. They don't need to set an example in government management, just to not push whatever the kremlin asks them to push and not embezzle money.
Straight long fins heatsinks would be greatly hampered by the small fan that only produces a big airflow for a small number of fins.
It stops being redistributive if you spend 5% more of what you get in. You're just creating debt without creating a way to pay it down the line. You can either take measures now to pay it or double down and pass it to the next government.
Social spending, by a lot, even though only a 5% cut would set the budgets right.
I bet they can also cut a lot of politicians and designated positions, but I'm not that deluded to think they would.
Well, at some point space-time warps so much that unless you are at the center of the would-be singularity, you'd see everything closer to it than you freeze-out as an event horizon appears. If you are inside the event horizon then... I'm clueless about what you'd experience.
If I to guess, you'd see yourself outside an smaller event horizon (as nothing gets through one due to spacetime warping) and you's have a lot of mass very far behind you due again to space time warping so that yout local scape velocity is less than c.
I can't think of a way of getting a singularity. As soon as the mass in a region of space becomes high enough to start a black hole, time would freeze and it would take several millions universe lifetimes for the mass to fully collapse into itself, no matter how close of far the observer is to the mass. The way I see it, things would go on as usual inside the black hole, but there's a universal curtain preventing anyone from accessing the interior.
They will tax everyone for everything before they even contemplate controlling their spending.
Does this mean that the ice wasn't there during the stone age?
In spain the procedure calls for driving by sight. There was a third train coming that stopped because the driver ignored the command to drive at normal speed and drove by sight.
The real issue is that the LZB fails often enough (installed back in 1992 and due for a phased out in favor of a newer system last year with the contract awarded and no work yet started) that the only safety assurance is the person at the command center issuing command flawlessly, which is not sustainable as it can be seen.
Iryo CEO said a few weeks back on a congress hearing that every time the LZB goes out, their trains are completely stopped. This must have slipped the central command resposible's mind as it was ordered to everyone to just restart the march, but the Iryo just couldn't.
"I swear it was to make them waste resources and time on me, mon chérie!"
The honeypots are 100% the best part of being a spy or a VIP target for an intelligence agency.
On that note, they never worked on french spies as infidelity and sex stuff hold seemingly zero leverage over french men.
Is this asking if they're a living being? Because they're clearly not. If this is trying to ask if they have a consciousness, then again the answer is not.
Shuffle the pages of a dictionary according to some rules and you got yourself, according to the author, a living being.
I loved the article. I knew already about fungi taking millions of years to develop a mechanism to eat wood, but the ramifications into dinos getting huge due to their superior breathing systems was a completely new to me. I thought everyone had lungs on earth!
Not in the least. You can make a 2D platformer and Nintendo can't sue you for copying Super Mario (they'd like to, probably).
The only defense against copies has always be the same, be better than the copies in thing the consumer likes. You can't copy a Mario game, you can't copy a Kojima game, you can't copy a game that has been masterfully done and polished. If slop is gonna eat your lunch, it's only because your game is as good as slop.
Great news, wish you all the best. I just wish the PCB sizes could stretch a bit to 330mm by 330mm.
Or educate, promote or even mandate that a share of a company must be given to the employees of said company.
If you "fool" a hundred thousand individuals to work for a company on a wage and through their work the company ends up been valued at a billion, you become a billionaire. Wouldn't they deserve a bigger cut of the fruit of their labor?
The fastest way to distribute wealth isn't taxes on wealth, it's a better distribution of the wealth generated by labor on the contract that the employee signs.
>the top 0.1% is richer than the 99.9%
Outstanding observation.
Abhorrent Intelligence it is, then.
It offers a way to hide wealth from countries like Venezuela, Russia, Iran, etc... Along with any other country.
Market dynamics will sort this out
I say that hardware design has a way bigger solution space.
In chess, being able to check hundreds of lines per second makes you a superhuman. But in hardware design you get lost if you try to search the solution space for a circuit, schematic, component selection, layout, routing, stiffener and thermal solution.
There are a few like positioning and routing where the solution space can just be considered infinite as there are infinite copper geometries (even if you stick with straight line polygons) that can connect a number of infinitely differently positioned components.
Then, for the mechanical stiffener, again you have an infinite number of geometries that don't clash with your components, don't run over your copper traces and make the board resist the mechanical tests (which the AI could check with a lengthy FEM analysis per iteration).
After all that, or in parallel with the mechanical analysis you can run the thermal ones and tweak positions of the hot stuff and thickness of stiffener walls to get everything fine.
I just can't see an LLM do that with a board with a few hundred components, even if most are decoupling capacitors.
