I used a pirate copy of it to lay out a group newspaper project for English class in the early 90s. Our teacher gave me an A and the rest of the group a B. It was alot of fun learning to use it.
I look after one at a University that gets used for teaching & outreach & there's definitely no hydraulics on the thing.
Isn't that what parallel construction is for?
Can't think of a way that brains doing this is adaptive in an evolutionary sense.

You've clearly given as much effort to thinking about this as I've wasted worrying about political economy on the Isle of Sodor.

As a Scouser with an interest in physics I'm ashamed to have known nothing about this :(

Awesome find, the author is lucky indeed. I've got a 2465 (no B) that I love dearly & have spent too much time & money on.
The same way it used to be done before we had LSI/VLSI!

Another one from the Center for the study of the Blindingly Obvious.
Take another look at the spec, looks like it has the dual core PRUs, an R5 & the A4 - whoops M4

+1

Measure the voltages on the connector. There's a pinout diagram further down on this page:

https://retrogamestart.com/answers/replace-c64-power-supply-...

I've seen a bad power supply kill one of the two CIAs, the color ram & damage the SID on a C64C

Better they keep a cadre of smart people who can do this stuff than lose the institutional knowledge.

Well this is a pretty big deal if it works. Ischemic injury being the thing that actually kills alot of trauma patients.

I think 2C-B varies in its effects from person to person a bit more than some of the others. What you describe sounds like what's happened to me when I've pushed the dose a bit high.

I've friends who swear by taking it when coming down from MDMA; where for me doing that always ends up with large chunks of my visual field being replaced with oozing neon magma & me needing to go & have a "lie down..."

Re:Naomi Wu video demonetized on YouTube on Thursday January 27, 2022 @05:45AM (#30098790)
Well said. Also fair play to you for being prepared to openly identify as who you are, in a part of the world where it's not necessarily as easy to do so as it is for many of us.

Great write up - thanks OP, I'd not seen a hybrid torn down like that before.
This will come as no surprise to FE/HE lecturers the world over...

Totally agreed re: the necessity of doing what can be done now within existing regulatory frameworks.

If & when we get round to allowing more exotic stuff to be used I like the look of this one.
