The well-designed and -implemented zoom out (basically a "level up" dopamine hit) is just one crucial bit of Katamari Damacy's greatness.

The other two are:

1. The whimsically melancholic music 2. King of All Cosmos' majestic facial hair and crotch bulge

iOxygen and iNitrogen can be quite expensive, especially if you get the Apple+ option.
But does it bring synergy with our current paradigm?

More than 4 posts. It's absolutely ghastly.
Artisanal cryptography. Hand-picked private keys salted with organically sourced nonces.

But what about Open Code Pro Max?

Or Open Code Rust?

>Apple: Switch from Chrome to Safari!

Thanks, but I've already upgraded to Firefox.

Yeah, but is he more charismatic than Bryan Johnson?

Wait till he gets his hands on turtle semen and peptides

Re:The new Firefox design is here on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @10:01AM (#49893451)
I still have hilarious memories of "aerodynamic tabs" in that era of Firefox design docs.
Re:Linguistic humor, Foreign hotel signs on Saturday September 26, 2026 @01:12AM (#49853410)
On the language proficiency tangent: I wonder if there are collections of unintentionally funny $LINGUA_FRANCA back in the days of French, Classical Latin, Ancient Chinese, and Ancient Arabic.
>black dot

One of the most horrifying recurring dreams when young was "geometric nightmares". This black circle would expand in size while a deafening silence grows. The volume is a void, and it's deafening.

An impending sense of doom as the expanding black void circle approaches. There's a real fear of oblivion, of ceasing to exist. Then you wake up.

Anyone else had similar dreams?

The "opens source" rebranding exercise and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
Re:iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @04:18AM (#49709359)
I bet it's some obscure MIT/BSD-licensed fuzzy matching library that both macOS and Windows uses.
I don't see how that's relevant? Article is about the RNG implementation, it doesn't matter what the profile pictures are.
I have a theory that "narrative warfare" doesn't exist, and it's all just faulty emanations of the single truth from the primordial creation blasting into our craniums in haphazard and mutually contradictory ways.

I'll write a book about it. See you in your local bookstore!

Re:Why your local LLM feels dumber than it is on Sunday August 23, 2026 @08:12AM (#49408180)
Imagine spending all that money on Apple hardware only to throttle it to a fraction of its performance lol

Steve Jobs would be proud. People really are holding their Apple hardware wrong.

In a sense, Clankers are a clanger.
Re:GCC steering committee announces AI policy on Thursday July 30, 2026 @10:28PM (#49118348)
Turns out the "propaganda" folder of 9front's source code is actually a really prescient precaution against LLMs.
Re:GCC steering committee announces AI policy on Thursday July 30, 2026 @10:25PM (#49118334)
Nominative determinism and cosmic irony in action.

Who'd thought the Fall of Clang would be caused by Clangers Slop.

That's exactly what Game on Whales offers

It's multi seat.

The selling point of Moonshine (and some of the Sunshine forks/descendants) is that it's headless without the need of a physical dummy plug.
So, to sum up:

First there was Nvidia Gamestream, which was proprietary and later deprecated by Nvidia themselves.

Then came Sunshine and Moonlight, open source server and client implementations of the protocol to allow low latency streaming for all platforms.

Along the way the Game on Whales project started, to allow multi seat streaming plus virtual displays so currently logged in user sessions aren't impacted. Basically this is a whole "host your own Stadia/Geforce Now" solution. But instead of running already setup applications as an existing user, you run these curated containers of Steam, Firefox, etc.

Then someone forked Sunshine and Moonlight into Apollo and Artemis, to make streaming from a virtual display turnkey and OOTB easy. Sadly the virtual display feature of Apollo is in practice Windows only.

And then there's this, Moonshine, in a way doing what Apollo brings to the table but for Linux servers.

Oh, and along the way someone forked Apollo into Vibepollo, an almost fully vibecoded "enhancement". Personally not touching that.

Did I miss anything?

Re:Transcribe.cpp on Sunday July 19, 2026 @08:58PM (#48973247)
Any plans of including the VAD step into this? When whisper.cpp added Silero it really smoothed out the UX.

You take that back!

>Why a TUI is the best thing we pipe through ssh? Why I cannot watch a 4k movie in the terminal or browse the web using pinch to zoom?

The old magick speak of X forwarding. The newer wizards now use waypipe.

The allure of being just good enough where the bling and hype of features outshine hidden bugs may win out socially.
Re:AURpocalypse now: a look at the recent AUR attacks on Friday June 19, 2026 @09:48PM (#48605505)
Isn't Arch's AUR flat namespace quite unique? Ubuntu's PPAs are also not flat.
It is in the nature of nation states to assert control over national borders. That the Internet and the globalised flow of information it enables circumvents this is a historical anomaly.
