I wanted to try and build something in a completely saturated market, so I’ve built a handful of movie themed daily games into a hub.

You kind of hand wave off the thing the article describes was the insider information.
> and Nokia insiders knew that wasn't the case. But that's not concrete information.
This is concrete, if I'm in a leadership or shareholder meeting and I'm authoritatively saying "look, we're done here, everyone thinks we can respond but we can't because of X and Y" then those people now have insider knowledge with gravity.
Valuable inside information isn't a thing everyone at a company knows.
I'm about as unprofitable if that's any help.
If I created software that was infiltrating secure systems without permission and it was attributed to me and I admitted it, I'd be behind bars already.
Why is OpenAI getting away with crimes?
The principal is a very cool bit of technology. There are authoritative blindness and eyesight medical institutions that are claiming this technology is great for people suffering from eye issues.
The shouting match is being loudly won by people decrying the technology however, people can receive physical and verbal abuse on the streets for wearing them which is pretty scary.
failure modes are so load bearing.
It uses too much RAM, it’s vibe coded so makes sense
4 minute old account, wonder what you should rename yours to?
Which to me puts it firmly in the slop category. Why do people think this is good?
Doesn't this assume those people don't just find other jobs and continue to pay taxes?
Apple is like the Billy Mitchell of computing. Just waited for them to beat it before announcing the gains they were sitting on.
Sounds like both models are guessing at what you want and one guessed right. Or you can just tell it...
All books are written, not all writing is for books.
famous? not sure about that, but they have the best SEO so it's always the goto.
More stable because its vastly less popular.
Appreciate the correction, thank you
Don’t the docs say running on wrangler is not for production use? Or am I missing something?
No it uses cloudflare primitives
Reading this made me start to remember how my thinking changed around expensive/elaborate gear and art.
When an artist performs a gig or releases an album, no one really remembers or connects with the fact that the audio went through some insane signal chain, no one at their gig would hear the difference between a $500 guitar and a $12,000 guitar.
What resonates with people and what people will remember is the writing, the performance, the story, the energies... Everything else is the 0.1%, and yes it can stack but it's still on the peripherals.
Everyone I respect in the arts has done the full bell curve, started out with crappy fundamentals -> gear will solve all my issues -> gear is marginally important but the fundamentals were always key. It's really interesting to me to see people I should expect to be on the other side of the bell curve still obsessing with marginal gains.
My favourite movies, I couldn't even tell you what it was filmed on, and it probably could have been filmed on a range of comparible mediums and I would have never known.
This is bad, I've forgotten how to code.
I see similar stats too, it really seems like old reddit has died off, I remember when the redesign was newer looking at these stats and old was dominating, so I'm inclined to trust them relatively.
We serve multi million MAU on sqlite orchestrated through durable objects. It's not the most complex thing in the world but it goes further than CRUD. It costs us such a small amount of money for what it does. Our PG cluster was orders of magnitude more expensive.
This is like saying contractor (A) asked for $33,000 to undertake the work and contractor (B) asked for $7,000
Are we measuring and caring about the right thing?
The thought of moving back to Fly after CF is completely absurd to me, each to their own. May your downtime be minimal...
I couldn't even get it to help me write an email, because that email was to a pentesting company!
However when it's happy to do the task, its relatively fantastic.
If you have any ideas now's the time, this has been an unsolved problem for hundreds of years.
Our bandwidth is very high, we constantly get invited onto the call with their team, but after talking with them a few times it makes absolutely zero sense for us to have a committed spend, all the stuff I needed an account manager for in GCP/AWS just doesn't exist in CF. Support wise I imagine if it's broken for us it's also broken for 2 million other people so... yeah... Thanks CF!
> and still he somehow keeps getting richer.
Just a stab in the dark, but it's likely because FB and meta are wildly successful businesses, and it's almost impossible to attribute that to one "lucky" event at the inception of the business.
If I'm being honest I'm actually kind of shocked at the engagement this comment is getting and the fact it's still visible. Like him or not, if you're capable of being objective, he is doing the opposite of failing...
A lot of what they are doing now is around AI comments and posts, I know this because in some of my subreddits I have various automod filters that align with the way AI writes, I see it all the time where my automod removes something and reddit removes it again after (some kind of race condition), as well as tons of these accounts getting site wide bans.
In case you didn't realise, a massive portion of content on reddit now is LLMs.
I'm not a massive fan of how reddit has played certain hands in the last 5 years or so, but I do hope they win the war on dead internet theory.
Ok cool, can I cherry pick now? TV actors in expansive TV series' with residuals in their contract. It can be a significant part of their income.
