I find your comment offensive, given that I've right of free speech, which is guaranteed by constitution.

How much of that's going to that "lady", who's been offended by eavesdropped private conversation and violating conference rules?
Re:Why Visual Basic is (supposedly) better than C#

Don't the point of such "Why eating feces is good" articles. I thought there are some converters from vb.net to C#, if there are none - then rewrite those damn tutorials, you'll end up saving much more health than if you do manual convertion.
Let's just bury that whole idea of 'programming for non-programmers' along with ugly shit that arose from it (cobol, vb, etc).

I'd like to have a look at such office. That's strange that such an idea is not popular, I have yet to see a person that doesn't enjoy working in library.

FYI, there is a post from the author, describing some game designs and listing existing bugs (unfortunately, Russian only) - http://habrahabr.ru/post/159501/
In short, he says that sync model used in OpenDune ran very badly in JS, so he had to replace it with async model (thus introducing some bugs).
He also lists hotkeys:
Attack, Move, Harvest, Retreat, Guard, Tab, Build

Did you really have any illusions on this?
Re:Typing Practice for Programmers

Perfect tool for code monkeys :)
You even can't put more line breaks than it is - just type, character by character. If it checked the code in general (e.g. package names typed correctly - but not line breaks and stuff) - I'd totally use it. Not now, though.
Re:The Universal Standard Library

Well, I find this topic rather meaningless, as every language has it's own code writing style and conventions, which may greatly differ, between C#, and, say, PHP.
Plus, AFAIK CLR plays exactly this role in .Net, providing common functions across supported languages.
