Re:How not to turn ideologically crazy on Sunday August 09, 2026 @08:13PM (#49237696)
I'm curious what the author means by: "Marxism and the labor theory of value is incorrect". First of all isn't that the wrong way around and should be the value theory of labor? But that aside: what is wrong about the concept of surplus value and labour power? (Which I assume would form the core of a marxism and be the value theory of labour; or vice versa) Aren't those generally accepted concepts? The entirety of marxism, especially its teleologial argument/eschatology is a different story, but what social/economic theory falsifies or even contradicts the concept of labour power and surplus value and in what way?
Re:Study uncovers lost 'golden age' of languages on Saturday August 01, 2026 @04:56PM (#49138402)
Learning latin in school as a kid/teenager vastly improved my ability to learn english. Also helped alot with latinisms and academic lingo, which feels just natural, having internalised its semantic roots. So imho your statement it's not a universal truth. Still wouldn't learn a dead language as a grown up though.

Can you point us somewhere zo learn more about that?
I read it as "specifically for ptfe" too. Where would you glue that? (Heart surgery?)
Hopefully that will serve as a virtuous example.
Is it possible to zoom out on mobile/in general?

Re:Grok 4.5 on Wednesday July 08, 2026 @08:51PM (#48839532)
That seems a bit.. specific for an axiom, don't you think?
Re:Grok 4.5 on Wednesday July 08, 2026 @08:45PM (#48839484)
It'd be minimally much money per token-intelligence (intelligence/token) though, if we are to believe the pitch..
I don't disagree and I don't think think that it's a good state of affairs. Whether acceptable is a legitimate category here i have some doubts about. There is definetly people that do not accept the status quo there (for good reasons) and try to become acively engaged in doing something about it. To state that it is not acceptable kinda evokes the image of some higher force that intervenes and changes the situation; idk seems weird. Would be nice if the xenophopic and far right resentfull mindset would stop holding it's grasp over such huge portions of the population. (Globally, too)
Hehe. Doubling down here; don't you take honouring humor (of the darker sort of) as such for valid participation in discourse?

The more the studies of substances progress the more that concept slips through our fingers
Feels like there should be some proof that the chameleons can be arbitrarily close to being identical with the stellated octrahedra каркас (.ru) (wihin the bound of an arbitrarily small ε)

Sort of like the formal language of the grammar as tokens to witch the probabilistic heuristic of the AI is applied in a sufficiently formal structure becomes arbitrarily close to the deterministic solution in terms of bein not non-deterministic.

Re:The Revenge of the Philosophy Majors on Tuesday July 07, 2026 @08:09PM (#48825752)
What is your argument exactly?

You establish, that it is virtuous to not fall for the hybris that claiming knowledge beyond the scope of your domain is. (i.e. the virtuous physisit who does not mistake his encounter with some institutional courses in chemistry for a foundation to transgress against "the chemist" by pretending to grasp chemistry like the latter does)

Now what is it exactly that you want to put forward regarding the faculty of philosophically trained cognition again?

Well good for him
That is not a job by definitionn of capital.
Well then go ahead and dig for that understanding :) From hearing interviews with some of the zig developers it's imho pretty clear, how deeply involved they are with their work.
Re:Right to Local Intelligence on Friday July 03, 2026 @06:53AM (#48773501)
Both are not logically exclusive assumptions
Re:Right to Local Intelligence on Friday July 03, 2026 @06:50AM (#48773476)
If you're assumptions turned out right what would be the benefit to preassume such an undertaking to succeed? As a warning of what to oppose, it imho conveys too much defeatist suggestiveness. Viewed as expression of a latent submissive desire (a perspective that might be offending, my apologies, but hopefully justifyable as food for thought/curiosity) a kent brookman "I for one welcome our new insect overlords" kind of vibe.
Dresden and especially Leipzig are quite nice though - lots of culture, music and art. Also close to Berlin. It's not exactly like you would have to travel through the countryside by carriage to get anywhere. I agree that the political and cultural situation outside the cities there is sad though.

That doesn't make it differrnt from any other problem measured by statistical significance in averaged over a big enough series of comparisons, no?
Check out Louis Chude Sokeis sound of culture - diaspora and blackb technopoetics" for the history and intertwinedness of the disoureses of race and machine and slavery.

Also I wonder how you suggestion of AI owned by everybody, as opposition to AI enslavedd by the few checks out under further scrutiny from the standpoint of logic in general and the aforementioned context specifically

You are misled/misleading. Get informed about the political theory of domestic deployment of troops for the purpose of policing in western democracues. Look how those who speak for the U.S. military personell (former generals, the editorial of that magazine they produce in the U.S. army prior to being pruned) if you need some motivation.
"shame them in a positive way" Oh my. That's some HR type viciousness right here. (⌒▽⌒)
