idk doesn't this mean I can't get any help from IDEs? code-completion? find-all-references?
this...

nearly 95% of deeplearning github repos are "tested using cuda gpu - others, not so sure"

the only way to out-run nvidia is to have 3~10x better bang-for-buck.

Or AMD can just provide a "DIY unlimited gpu RAM upgrade" kit -- a lot of people are buying macstudio 128gb ram because of its "bigger ram-for-buck" than nvidia gpus

people will definitely pay a big premium to get:

+ PRC sending back escapees back to NK

PRC should give the escapees the right to travel, instead of deporting.

I expect a lot of wumaos to resort to whataboutisms completely unrelated to the right-to-travel / right-to-asylum / right-to-immigration / etc

regardless of that, shouldn't you also truly believe on "let North Koreans travel freely"?

Re:Why I Left Rust on Sunday May 28, 2023 @02:51PM (#36106685)
this whole "woke" mentality is going out of hand too fast...

I mean, someone bullying some veterans/old men because they're "woke and feminist" isn't going to earn any sympathy from me.

nowadays... "woke" just means "I'm better than you (so I can/will do things that are otherwise unacceptable to you)"

...I think we chose the wrong word. Rather than "woke", it should have been "NO BULLYING" -- which includes all things the real "woke" people tried to do, and forbids all things the wrong "woke" people are trying to do

how is it related to turing-complete?

I mean, if python has some unnecessary performance-killing while loops hidden inside, it can be 35000x slower for everything regardless of 'turing-complete'

Re:Google Summer of code 2023 is coming on Friday March 17, 2023 @06:11AM (#35195137)
I'm no longer student at a university (working) -- can I apply? are there any age restrictions?

Re:Corviale, a One-Kilometer Residential Complex in Rome on Sunday December 18, 2022 @07:08AM (#34036952)
hm I thought they were to impress people... show off "we can build this in one-go" / "we can compensate/take this big-land from the owners in one-go"

In construction, you have to have the timing right for the whole building in one-go...

In land-ownership issue, you have to own the whole land / negotiate with/seize from with owners who own some of the land

Re:Native Reflection in Rust on Thursday December 15, 2022 @01:08PM (#34003321)
how about adding this to debuggers for better object-views? (could it be possible to provide near-js/python/java level of obj view?)

Re:GitHub Actions Pitfalls on Monday September 26, 2022 @01:35PM (#32985886)
hm you can just run self-hosted github action runners for free...

listening for clicking might be a better choice:

1. mouse doesn't have 'actively listen' for mouse movement - exceptions: ball-mouse 2. unintentional-clicking is much more rare

hm maybe I can just bring bunch of examples

and conclude that people just regulary kill other people just because they feel like it...

> Asian christians pray in separate churches

that's not due to some artificial separation like caste...

it's something to do with homesickness/cultural/language-related natural phenomenon. (eg. church pastor is a friend of a relative etc)

and no one thinks one is above the other due to the separation. (except for cooking...)

hm that's what some banking apps / most malware apps do...
Re:Solein – Protein out of thin air on Thursday August 04, 2022 @01:09PM (#32345542)

> Offline means you're dealing with conflict detection, resolution, and caching strategies

users of google maps / apple TV don't have to send 'write' operations except for a few features (set-favorite, etc)

how about giving dead viral vaccine, and then giving live one after 1 month or so?
"self-correcting equilibrium" sounds like the whole thing is doing OK...

but after Luna-fiasco and self-proclaimed "stable" coins being unstable, how does anyone keep trust in crypto-coins?

Re:Experience Report: 6 months of Go on Sunday May 01, 2022 @01:54AM (#31222569)
regarding null: google's Dart recently got type-level null-safety.

Maybe that's planned for Go too?

I mean, they're both made in google, so...
