The mechanism of the effect of light pollution on a cellular level is also widely researched, revealing that increased illumination at night change the circadian rhythm and inhibits melatonin production causing adverse health issues in non-nocturnal species [7,8,9,10].

Train for it? Huh?

Yes — similar to training for a marathon or learning a language — your ear is an amazing instrument and can be trained. But also similar to those other activities — it takes practice and will feel a bit uncomfortable while you’re training.

Re:Let's build a Chrome extension that steals everything on Wednesday February 22, 2023 @08:56AM (#34895492)
I can’t give you specific examples. What I CAN do - is give you a few guidelines. General rules. Condensed experience from someone who has spent a lot of time removing shitty extensions. Yes there will be exceptions to my general rules, but not too many. In fact, whenever you have trouble with Chrome, refer to Moser’s Law, propounded by my buddy Thomas Moser. “It’s always the extensions”.

Most truly useful extensions are official ones, from Google. Try those first! If you can’t find an extension made and supported by Google, then cautiously try others, and only the ones with overwhelmingly good reviews. Shopping/coupon/price comparison extensions that promise to save you money? Avoid at any cost! Antivirus/Antimalware “security” extensions? Avoid. “Search Managers”, “Search Helpers”… If it messes with Google search in any way, that’s a BIG no no.
