Amazon has the world on lockdown though as the best place to buy stuff and get almost anything to my house in a day or so. I can use any AI model out there and there is no moat at all. Nor do most people even need AI.

Why do we keep talking about revenue and not profit? This is like when Michael Scott opened a paper company.

Wow my first exposure to Andy Yen shouldn’t have been this one. I’m seeing a loser here and it’s not the engineer…

Isn’t intelligence a fully automatic mechanism? You go down that rabbit hole enough and I always find it hard to find the differences. Same thing with LLMs, people say it’s just a word predictor. But that’s how I wrote this comment and how I think.

Markets are down today over nonsense stargazing like this. If we lose cryptography, we lose everything in a sort of blackout level event like on Blade Runner 2049. It won’t matter what you buy or sell to. I see no signs we are even close to that.

I’m lost when I read these sort of comment chains. Free Gemini works just fine for me. Maybe it’s because I don’t use it for programming? How many programmers really exist out there? Surely it can’t support the weight of investment that exists in AI already. It’s just such a small pool of the human race.

Re:The Mafia may be keeping fentanyl out of Italy
on Friday September 25, 2026 @08:02AM (#49843427)
Maybe the mafia saw the population curves and realized how precious each customer is now and will be in the future. Something tech companies would be wise to think about...
https://www.macrotrends.net/global-metrics/countries/ita/ita...
And the curve is the same across almost all the world. Italy is 1.3, you need 2.1 to even tread water and keep the population you have. Who buys the stocks and fentanyl when each year you have less and less buyers?
