Are you suggesting the President of the United States and his administration are perpetrating Russian and Chinese psyops against the American people, because it's his and his administration's actions that everyone is reacting to.
It's wild that this is getting downvoted. Just goes to show how many people are willing to turn a blind eye. Not a good look for the elections.

Clearly you've never felt the full force of a 6' wave crashing down on you and rolling you in the surf, never mind a 100' wave. What a silly comment.

I've been wearing Airpod Pro 2s for 5 years and had no increase in my tinnitus (caused by many years of playing guitar and drums). I only wore Airpod Pro 3s for 3 days and my tinnitus increased by 3-5x. Thankfully, it went back to normal or almost normal after a few weeks. I now have a brand new pair of airpods I can't use.

Googling reveals others with the same issue with Airpod Pro 3s.

>Those who think they will take over are clueless.

You're underestimating where it's headed.

I have a policy against installing extensions but I might make an exception for this one. I default to 2x and often have to go to 3x if the speaker is really slow. The one exception is music production related videos and it is sometimes excruciating to get through. This is most likely because I'm usually watching some kind of instructional or educational video and just want the content and have no interest in being "entertained". That said, I understand that you have to game YouTube's algo and rules in order to make even a tiny bit of money. Imagine if every channel cut the first 30 seconds of every video intro and everyone could just get to the point.
So everyone are to blame except the exceedingly small number of people who supported third party candidates that had no chance?

I'll answer if you do.

First you indignantly ask why we're not protesting and then denigrate them as "little protests". Then you assert that personal firearms might solve the problem against the most technologically advanced armed forces in the world. Maybe you can share what country you live in and how you've so successfully fought against the state.

The No Kings protest was the largest in US history BTW.

“A formidable founder is one who seems like they’ll get what they want, regardless of whatever obstacles are in the way.”

Yeah, especially laws and regulations.

Correct. If you said your title in Spain, you'll get a strange look and someone might respond with "why would you tell me that?". No one there cares what you do for work.

The best example of this for me is playing drums. It's a very physical thing to do and extremely easy to get caught up in the fun of it. You find yourself playing very hard with a lot of tension everywhere. The problem is that it's very difficult to do this for long periods and if you want to play a series of fast notes accurately, it's counterproductive. So, I'm constantly telling myself to play as soft and loose as possible until one day it hopefully becomes automatic.

Respectfully, I've not seen any of these actions make a measurable difference in the last 10 years.

Autodesk has been public (ADSK) for a long time.

Driving has been reduced to an ordeal to be ensured with as little interaction with the vehicle as possible.

Let's hope that trend continues, ideally to the point that humans need to do nothing besides specify where they want to go. We're too careless to be trusted with the responsibility.

Immortality is not just another technological advancement. It entrenches power permanently and creates a world of slaves who will never escape the grip of their masters. Democracy would permanently die and the rule of law would be whatever the overlords decide. Imagine an immortal Caligula. Do you want Elmo to be your permanent master, for example?
I'd like to see smoking compare to vaping natural herb. It seems like the obvious, healthier choice.

Ask someone in a country whose currency has been debased.

I'd like to hear how internet advocates address child pornography without deploying a fallacy. The internet makes child pornography possible, without the former, the latter cannot thrive. The defenses I usually hear come in the form of "CD ROMs facilitate bad stuff, too," which is a fact, but doesn't absolve the internet's central role in child porn. As the article states, there is simply no way to attain child porn without the internet. Maybe they could do DVD or CD ROM, but that would be sooooo slow (but not impossible?)
The sudden wave of UFO propaganda has me wondering, "Why now?". Will UFOs suddenly become the new enemy we must mobilize against?

Is it "the shrinking of the hacker culture"? I've become an expert in 3 different js frameworks in the last 7 years. Its' fucking exhausting.
Yes, some places are doomed. It's not a black and white outcome like all the denier downvoters cling to.
You're misunderstanding the quote. It doesn't say "...entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth BY THE YEAR 2000" It says "...if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000."
>That's completely irrelevant because you're not supposed to stash it in a mattress you're supposed either spend it on basic needs or to invest it.

Says who? And why has saving become something only stupid people do? This idea that you MUST invest is pure evil and is designed to make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

This is an incredibly short-sighted view.

It's funny how everyone here worships YC and YC has invested in multiple crypto companies and yet everyone here hates crypto and everyone involved in crypto. How do you justify that? Is it because you think YC is just clever to cash in on the speculation, the same way Trump is clever to not pay any taxes, but you hate all the little guys that cash in on the speculation?
Re:Crypto crash deepens, stocks slip on Wednesday May 19, 2021 @10:54AM (#27209514)
You're assuming I care how much something costs in dollars.
Re:Crypto crash deepens, stocks slip on Wednesday May 19, 2021 @10:42AM (#27209320)
This makes no sense. 1 BTC still equals 1 BTC.
