Oof, that site has a list of referrers that trigger a redirect via JS. Hacker News gets redirected to `about:blank`.
I haven't used prettier much but this is what the prettier docs say about empty lines.
> It turns out that empty lines are very hard to automatically generate. The approach that Prettier takes is to preserve empty lines the way they were in the original source code. There are two additional rules:
>
> - Prettier collapses multiple blank lines into a single blank line.
> - Empty lines at the start and end of blocks (and whole files) are removed. (Files always end with a single newline, though.)
The last time I used astra it wrote a lot of rust code where it would insert almost no empty lines at all. Not before functions, structs, impl blocks, etc., and not inside functions to group statements. Similar to prettier, rustfmt doesn't really insert empty lines.
Edit: hmm maybe I misunderstood your and the parent's comment. Are you talking about missing regular newlines after statements, i.e. multiple statements on one line?
I don't think they have any access or scraped data. The plugin let's me configure a JLCPCB DB path and it seems like it doesn't ship with one. I have no clue how to obtain that db.
But won't you still need a decent private indexer with usenet or are paid indexers with open registration good enough these days? I've been using an invite-only indexer and haven't tried any other indexers in a while.
Cool! And sorry if my original comment came across as overly harsh. It’s a fun side project!
I have a few suggestions:
- as I mentioned above, the shadow map is drawn twice, probably it's being auto updated by three.js at some point
- the entire cabin has a lot of triangles while the player only sees a small portion of it
- cabin lighting could be baked
- a lot of triangles seem to be rendered without backface culling, that's probably not intentional
- don't run GTAO at full resolution, try half
And also, use the spector.js [1] browser extension to profile the app and have your AI agent analyze the capture.

Wow, this is so unbelievably unoptimized. The sound of my computer fans makes it so immersive.
The shadow map is being rendered twice with 300+ draw calls and 1M+ triangles. Full resolution GTAO is probably even more expensive with a lot of fetches per texel. I'm sure there are a ton of low hanging optimization fruits and I'm confident claude et. al can fix all those issues, but if you don't know where to look and never profile the app then you get a vibe coded unoptimized mess.

I'm Luka, a Senior backend engineer, ~11 years across e-commerce (Shopify, order platform), IoT (LoRaWAN network server in Elixir), and HR tech, most recently at Remote (working on developer tooling, CI performance, and a feature-flag system for a large Elixir monolith). Looking for senior backend or platform work, remote in the EU or on-site in Hamburg. Elixir, Rust or Ruby ideally, but I'm comfortable with most tech tacks.
It has degraded? In what way? It sounds like your issues could be caused by LSP servers going rogue. Zed itself has been perfectly stable for me since I started using it as my default editor ~1 year ago. The only thing I didn’t like were some default layout changes that were trivial to revert.
That's honestly pretty rough. Starting a race in a region where it's night time is pointless when you see almost nothing at night. Holding X to summon a vehicle does not seem to work. Can we have less completely broken vibe coded stuff please?
Same with iOS quick search...
> Every redesign introduces new (secret) watermarks, patterns that are hard to copy, so it's also a "tech" update. Eventually more and more of the details become public. By now the current banknotes are too well known and I guess the counterfeits are getting too close.
But if I wanted to create counterfeit euro bank notes I could just go with the old ones, no?
Anyway, I think creating new designs just for fun is a good enough reason for me to create new notes.
> We should revive the micro payments feature that where built into very early browsers.
I don't think this was ever a thing. I know there's HTTP 402 and before 2000 there were some standards around payment being pursued but AFAIK nothing ever made it into browsers. Or am I missing something?
Oh yes, seems like that's it. I can now view the repo. A bit annoying when creating a repo redirects you to a URL that will give you a 404 initially (and at least for minute or so, that's how long I tried).
I just tried out tangled for the first time and unfortunately it seems buggy beyond being actually usable. I created a repo but can't look at it because I get a 404 for it. The login was quite painful as well as I needed several attempts to enter my atproto handle (copy-pasted every time, so no typo).
But I'm glad more people are working on git hosting options.
Sorry but I'm genuinly confused.
It says:

> Already installed Feishu? <Open Now>
From what I can tell it's a "productivity" app? Looks like some microsoft teams kinda thing. I don't think that's z.ai's parent company, or am I missing something?
If that's reasonable or not really depends on what people they want to offer services to, no? No one* outside of china speaks Ehinese, while plenty of people, like me, outside of USA, UK, NZ, AU, etc. speak English.
*yes, there are for sure some people who speak mandarin, it's just not as widespread as English (or maybe Spanish)
It gets even wilder when you click on "Join the Linux Beta Group". That leads you to
https://www.feishu.cn/download eventually. I have no clue what feishu.cn is and I don't see a language toggle. Sometimes it just seems like chinese companies simply don't want international business.
Yes, so many people were claiming that it will be around that price point. That seemed straight up delusional to me. Memory price has roughly quadrupled and 32GB DDR5 basically cost the same as the original cheapest steam deck.
This is delightfully insane! I don't think I would say it doesn't play _entirely_ terrible though ;) It's playing really bad, but it could be worse and it's already super impressive that it can even generate legal moves.
> 2. Use a language that has a large training set so the LLM can be most efficient.
I seriously doubt this is really the case. From my experience coding agents just love writing bad python code. It always needs explicit instructions for example to use uv instead of raw dogging pip. There is a lot of python code out there because it is being taught as a beginner language and because of that there is necessarily a lot python code written by beginners. That's my explanation at least for bad LLM generated python code.
The touch pads work great for emulating a mouse in certain games. I've played many hours of Civ V and VI on the deck thanks to the touch pads. You can even configure them to act as a radial menu or touch menu where different areas of the touch pad emulate different keys.
From what I can gather from a cursory glance at the docs, zed uses intelephense and its diagnostics can be disabled. The whole lsp can be disabled. At the risk of sounding like I'm saying "you're holding it wrong", I have to say that this is an OP problem and not a Zed problem. These are sensible defaults that work for almost everyone, in my opinion.
Does your browser request French via an Accept-Language header perhaps? What really infuriates me is when sites don’t respect that header and give you a translation based on IP location.
More like codex for nothing. I canceled my 20$ plan and won't let myself be bullied into buying more expensive plans to have the same limits I used to have a week ago on the 20$ plan. I would not be surprised if this illegal where I live.
You don't need Box here because Vec<T> is already a fixed size handle to heap data.
Same here with uBlock on iOS. This happens every now and then, not too often. But when it does, I usually decide the page is probably not worth reading anyway.
This looks really cool, but USB-A on the wireless adapter? Really?
All the JangaFX products (such as EmberGen) are written in Odin.
