For anyone that doesn't know, this reads the header and drops the packet if the length isn't 5*4 bytes, meaning it includes options.
We're financing pensions with debt, that's why it's a problem.
Re:Roku developer repositories moved from GitHub to GitLab on Saturday October 24, 2026 @08:06PM (#50226804)
Bioware is a cadaver. All the original people are gone, they aren’t even a shadow of their former self.
Re:Linux 7.3 Released on Friday October 23, 2026 @08:44PM (#50217288)
Linus’ job has always been to keep a tight leash on developers and being the voice of reason.
Re:PalmOS Lemmings on Friday October 23, 2026 @08:42PM (#50217283)
Those were two commit messages, from the guy you mention.
Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Friday October 23, 2026 @02:16PM (#50213215)
It would also be very sensible to offer a BlackHat Pro version to national officials, for them.

> Fast forward on the Memo key without a 5-way navigator Devices without a 5-way navigator (e.g. the m515) had no fast forward key, as To Do moves the cursor there. On these devices the Memo key now runs fast forward while it is held down; selecting a lemming stays with the stylus.

> Fast forward: the music keeps its pace The simple music engine of the devices before Palm OS 5 moved on one note step per step of the game logic, so with fast forward the music ran four times as fast too. It now moves on once per frame, in the event loop; the MIDI stream of Palm OS 5 has its own clock anyway

It's AI.

Re:Linux 7.3 Released on Monday October 19, 2026 @04:28AM (#50149799)
It might be written by the LLM, but I'm pretty sure Linus hasn't vibe coded it. Do you think he won't look at the output and nitpick to death?
Correct. And since there are thousands of decentralized manufacturers, they're heavy users of 3D printing, too.
Re:Muse Wonder on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @12:20AM (#50066670)
Lecun would be beating you with a stick for using an LLM like that :D
Much safer than newly built reactors using decades old designs for making Plutonium used as power generators, with every safety feature forcefully disabled and during a drill to investigate the feasibility of a condition live, the effects of which weren’t known by any operator and the drill hadn’t been tested in an offline experiment before nor was it even simulated. Then, maybe.
Re:New gTLD Application for .lan on Thursday October 08, 2026 @08:01PM (#50014144)
Nooo, don't break my home domain :(
I prefer it to be declarative
Seems like the first rule of HN
Re:Supabase Is Acquiring Turso on Friday October 02, 2026 @01:17PM (#49936034)
Or Supabase starts offering "SQLite" (Turso) as they are offering PG today?
Re:Claude Opus 5.5 on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @04:21PM (#49821957)
I think you mean Fable 5.1 here. Fable 5.1 was an improvement over Opus 5 but still had many Cludisms. Opus 5 was insufferable.
Re:Italian parliament votes for return to nuclear energy on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @04:07PM (#49821768)
Even in Spain we have Uranium, but the politicians made it illegal to mine it, lol (I wanna cry)
Yep, "actual" is Spanish for current, too. A false friend.
Re:Claude Opus 5.5 on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @01:33PM (#49805080)
Yes, it made me want to vomit. If the new Fable only changed the writing style to just sound like a human, same performance for everything else, I'd be pretty happy.

Telefónica is what we call a "cementerio de políticos".

It doesn’t just last for a match, sometimes they start at 00:00 and take the entire day.
They might have to switch to ULID or similar.
Re:Shapelearn Qwen 3.8 27B (13.1 GB VRAM) on Friday September 18, 2026 @07:07AM (#49752651)
The fattest quantization. They show all of them here: https://huggingface.co/byteshape/Qwen3.8-27B-GGUF

Since they’re not using a stable number of bits per token, they use their own naming convention.

Re:Wax Motor on Thursday September 17, 2026 @08:55PM (#49748883)
I think it takes time because the hot water line doesn’t immediately return hot water
Not for 2nm
Did you really need to use an LLM to write this comment?
Re:Nvidia announces native GPU programming in Rust on Thursday September 17, 2026 @12:52PM (#49743436)
It's very cool. If Rust had comptime, apart from macros, it would be unmatched in capabilities.
Yes, there is
