Re:Laser Fault Injection on a Budget: RP2350 Edition on Saturday October 17, 2026 @04:45PM (#50134979)
I'm more interested in the 3D printed platform made to to hold up the chip and the fact that this seemed to be done in a garage. I thought anything laser related would require much more precision but the article has pretty much everything ordered online.

I'd like to think that the slop-alert button is for their own internal measurements and figuring out much of their userbase is just fake
Re:Elevating Privileges from Firefox to Android Root on Friday July 03, 2026 @06:57PM (#48781000)
Well, I shouldn't have clicked this. This claims to ask for confirmation before running the exploit and my wallpaper hasn't really changed yet
I made the mistake of using them, and now I can't export and move my data to a different authenticator. How could I trust their online backup?
Social media's entire income model is finding out who you are to advertise more accurately. Facebook knows your age down to the day, and if they ask for ID this is them taking even more data.
Re:How Twitch Tamed a Million Lines of TypeScript on Monday January 05, 2026 @01:58PM (#46503047)
There's a good draft that's buried under all the word soup
Re:Meta made scam ads harder to find instead of removing them on Thursday January 01, 2026 @01:01PM (#46456308)
The issue as I see it is that these searches are run when testers look for them, not on a regular basis. If Facebook can detect them, why let them be displayed in the first place?
Re:Pasta Cooking Time on Tuesday September 30, 2025 @09:06AM (#45424928)
Reminds me of nailing jelly to a wall
Re:Yt-dlp: Upcoming new requirements for YouTube downloads on Wednesday September 24, 2025 @09:29AM (#45360047)
I'm on mobile, this seems like an actual js interpreter that only does objects and arithmetic. Impressive that it went that far
Re:All of our lives overlap in the Network Of Time on Friday September 05, 2025 @07:43PM (#45145033)
I'm printing and framing this on my wall
Re:Tandy Corporation, Part 3 Becoming IBM Compatible on Monday July 14, 2025 @01:58PM (#44563208)
Well, it does make you load the website :^)
Re:Ask HN: Is the header CSS broken for you? on Sunday June 29, 2025 @11:52PM (#44419183)

Re:The Cultural Decline of Literary Fiction on Sunday June 22, 2025 @01:30PM (#44348631)
It's fun
I have ahrefs blocked from accessing my webserver as they don't consistently respect robots.txt. I suggest everyone do the same.
I'm only suggesting it because calling my ISP and asking for a static IP + an open port is a hassle. It's only a way to forward ports
Re:We’ll be ending web hosting for your apps on Glitch on Thursday May 22, 2025 @04:13PM (#44066362)
I'd recommend, unfortunately, buying a cheap $200 netbook and running cloudflare tunnel on it. As long as you're relying on other people's computers for hosting you'll keep looking forever
The quote does say that Altium does it out of the box though? With KiCad you had to write a script and learn how the format works. Could also be introduced as a patch to upstream and have everyone benefit from it, but that's less time spent working on the circuit
The decision to use a signal knockoff was a planned and managed one, not just on a whim. Who's responsible for managing the phones?
Re:Presentation Slides with Markdown on Monday April 28, 2025 @10:55AM (#43822180)
There's definitely something to be said about emacs being stuck in time. However, everything under the sun is just a half-baked clone of something emacs already had, except for text-editing :^)
A smaller ad company can afford to have customer support. If there are tens or hundreds then each one can lose customers, better than one massive company that doesn't care or can't afford and would rather keep the money than pay for support.
Re:Kotlin, Swift, and Ruby losing popularity on Monday April 14, 2025 @09:35AM (#43681103)
Probably enough that the office couldn't afford more than 12 hours?
Would be useful in that exact case, but would be an absolute nightmare to debug, on par with using global variables as function inputs
Re:AT&T Email-to-Text Gateway Service Ending June 17 on Friday April 04, 2025 @11:12PM (#43590351)
Can you elaborate a bit more on the similarity between MMS and email? I'm curious to know how similar. Is there an MMS RFC?
Re:Everyone knows all the apps on your phone on Saturday March 29, 2025 @08:37PM (#43520054)
But God forbid users learn how to use their device. All of this could be prevented by having the users manually pick the application instead.
Re:Microsoft Math Solver on Wednesday March 26, 2025 @06:41PM (#43488305)
There used to be an actual Microsoft math solver, kind of a school version of Matlab. I don't know if they still offer it on the website, but it would've been useful for me back in school
Re:C Plus Prolog on Friday March 14, 2025 @01:59AM (#43359993)
Would confuse it with the Canadian pension plan :^)
This seems to be a thing with a lot of wikipedia articles on various foods, especially in other languages.
Re:Removing Jeff Bezos from My Bed on Friday February 21, 2025 @01:48PM (#43131342)
It's him and that mattress guy, and the whole stereotype of mattress stores being money laundering fronts. What's up with the bed industry in general?
Re:Customizable HTML Select on Thursday February 20, 2025 @02:19PM (#43118898)
How about the literally unusable <select multiple> on mobile? You can't select more than one option on a touch screen...
