I’m with you in spirit but surely you can find problems with this analogy.
As you should, but he has other points worth considering for sure.

The OP was asking about if justice is important. It is not (according to Silvergate). Conviction rate is important and prosecution offers deals that essentially cannot be refused in exchange for a guilty plea.

Check out Three Felonies a Day by Silvergate. The writing is poor and it’s one of the only sources that dares suggest that the Enron executives were victims but regardless, there are points relevant to exactly what you’re asking about.
Incredible post. Thank you!

Probably the opposite? Avoiding a provider dependency would be my guess
Similarly, if this is your takeaway from the rebuttal then you’ve missed the points that were being made

This is a ridiculous take.

Same. ArchLinux and macOS for me.

Having those sent to fight in a war being the ones to decide if the war should be fought was on of the major points in General Butler’s 1935 book War is a Racket
Hmm. I can definitely understand what the author was saying.

Paraphrased: ChatGPT often completes complex solutions in one try whereas Claude does not (or performs less well).

I guess you can’t take me seriously?

Haha good one
Do you have kids? You’re going straight to planets huh.

Your argument is that calling Vim niche should exclude someone from being able to talk about CS. Please rethink your stance and your tone and consider if you’re helping the discussion.

How do you think a manager should handle the case where a company forces the manager to select one person from the team for a bogus (in bad faith) PIP?
Is this legal? I can’t find a free link from the author.
lol MS doesn’t pay enough to pull this stunt. A chill workplace culture is all they have going for them.

It’s an incredible book. Munificent did an amazing job.
Your point is taken, but shouldn’t we also trust teachers to choose which books will best serve their classroom?

In addition to the self promotion benefits, writing about something in plain terms is the best way I know of to shine a light on areas I don’t fully understand. It’s a useful tool to have if you’re serious about self-improvement.
This is overly reductionist and cynical regarding what libraries provide for communities. You should visit a library sometime — it might surprise you.
