Libeste

The ones who made the software probably are.

The rest just need to notice they're no longer making money and being 1337, will get updated h4xx0r t00lz once the first group releases them.

Most of them die as hatchlings, but if they reach adulthood, they tend to live 35-50 years in the wild.

The oldest living alligator in captivity has been in a zoo for 84 years, but was an adult when they got him so he's at least 3 or 4 years older than that.

Re:Show HN: Generations - How old are Millenials now? on Tuesday May 19, 2020 @08:07AM (#23233927)
Your age ranges should go 0-7, 7-23, 23-39... instead of 0-7, 8-23, 24-39...

While 2012 was 8 years ago, not everyone born in 2012 has turned 8 yet.

Re:X Æ A-12: Elon Musk and Grimes confirm baby name on Wednesday May 06, 2020 @10:05AM (#23091049)
Just wait a year. I have a feeling there's a few hundred thousand more, but I don't know how many of them are breeding in pairs.
Firefox used to. But they ripped that out like every other useful feature over the years.
Nope. It's literally the C in ICE.

The FDA and FTC have their own jobs to do related to the matter, but this part is what the ICE has been doing for ages.

I just don't care for grindfests like you do.
An outbreak in Vegas would be more a case of tourists infecting each other than the residents of the town getting sick.

And if you've caught something in Vegas and spread the disease across your hometown, you're probably not going to admit it. This virus is no exception.

If the site's yours, add a setting for button text color or automatically flip the text color to black if the the color goes too light.
Not the original patent for the radio. Later improvements to the tuner were invalidated as not being novel enough to grant patent rights to.
There's also orchards, and beekeeping, raising chickens for eggs might qualify.

As well as this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aphid#Ant_mutualism

It's plausible to do it just to do it, but you're better off just renting a car.
I couldn't care less about him, I'm more concerned about what his fan club will do.
The word you're looking for is 'Cultivation.'

You've basically described farming and ranching. Plenty of analogies there, though many of them have already been used.

Re:Paradox of the Court on Wednesday April 29, 2020 @06:52AM (#23017703)
It's not a paradox.

The decision of the court should be that the payment isn't due yet, not that the contract is invalid. Unless ancient Greek law requires the contract to be thrown out because it was tried in court or the case was clearly frivolous (IANAAGL) the decision should uphold the validity of the contract, not invalidate it.

It's a problem AI will have to solve on it's own, because humans won't do it for them as long as ignoring it is beneficial.
Are the ascii captchas still being used? It was a neat defense against the bots, but kind of killed the pacing of things.
Re:Lassie Errors on Monday April 27, 2020 @04:12AM (#22993918)
One of them even had to have wear a merkin to hide the fact.

But it's besides the point, since Lassie, the character, was female.

Yes.

Yes. Maybe you wouldn't have misunderstood it.

Which version of the Stars and Stripes?

Sure, flags mean different things to different people.

No, that doesn't make it complicated, it didn't stop other flags from being banned.

When has it not been considered treason?

They argued that..."

Re:Car giants need to move fast and break things on Saturday April 25, 2020 @07:52AM (#22977417)
The car based gig economy doesn't want your 18 year old rust bucket either. The cutoff tends to be closer to 10 years old or newer.
It's more important to identify the root of the problem and actually solve it.

Even if these people suck at coding and are still committing code without someone else double-checking their work, they're not the real problem.

Re:Adult sex toy marketing tips on Tuesday April 21, 2020 @06:25PM (#22939994)
Study the market to see if cleaning it helps or hurts the resale value.
>For one, how could they expect to distribute it in a way that a bad guy was more likely to download than by going to the official site?

The original is both pay to own and not available outside of the US. So changing either of those things would work.

Making one is on my list of things to do after procrastinating.

The melody is awesome, but the lyrics haven't really held up.
It's not explained until the third book, but hoarding the water was keeping it away from the things that are turning the planet into a desert.
The Lathe of Heaven, too.
