Android is owned by Google, so in all fairness they can do whatever they want, so they don't need anyone consent.

I am doing the same, such a great underrated feature that many people do not know of.

Already ArtCraft :D
Re:Remove and Disable Apple Macos27 AI Models Tool on Monday October 05, 2026 @01:52PM (#49968091)
This is pretty much "problem" with every OS.

Windows - you make one setting change somewhere, you forget about it. Half year later boom.

Linux - you make one setting change somewhere, you forget about it. Half year later boom.

Not really, I still have physical fob with barcode.
It can run Doom for sure.
Agreed, I swapped to iPhone about 4 years ago, because I couldn't find a phone for myself from a tons of options(one company did that, another did something else, etc..).

iPhone is nice, but it has its quirks and stupidities. Android is nice, but has some other stuff I don't like.

I wish there would be a third option that would take the best of those two worlds.

Re:GMails custom domain "send as" discontinues January 2027 on Friday September 04, 2026 @11:34AM (#49566148)
It's not an easy task! I had mine account since gmail beta, so much stuff is going through it.

Two years ago I moved to Fastmail(they're great), and pretty much setting up an alias per site/purpose. While I'm happy to see that gmail receives less & less, I still have about 150 entries in 1password that say @gmail.com... maybe one day...

Re:O&O ShutUp10 – The antispy tool for Windows 10 and 11 on Friday September 04, 2026 @09:35AM (#49564433)
Not everybody has a possibility.

Each system has pros and cons.

I'm daily driving both Windows and Linux, and each has its own issues unfortunately, so using tools like OO is a necessity of making my(and others) life bit less miserable.

For Linux I have bunch of custom repair scripts because of certain bugs I encounter(which are tracked too but not solved).

Unfortunately this is the game no one will ever win, unless you will move, drop tech, and start breeding dogs, but then you need to sell them, and where would you advertise? :)

Re:Paint.net 5.2 alpha now runs on Linux on Wednesday September 02, 2026 @02:19PM (#49540242)
What is wrong with people?! Geez.
I really don't mind blowing my weekly usage in one day, but getting my tasks stopped and waiting for 5h cap to finish - is just annoying.
Re:Feature Request: Support AGENTS.md on Wednesday August 19, 2026 @07:52PM (#49368740)
Not really Anthropic.
Re:OpenLogi on Wednesday August 19, 2026 @02:26PM (#49365282)
Oh yeah, I just gave it a go with big hopes, but it looks like it's not there.

Made some changes, nothing, made more changes, nothing... Then to my surprise I restarted software and they were there, mouse speed x100000, and other weird stuff I've put in - I thought I was doing something wrong when the changes weren't applied :D

Re:Replacing Systemd with OpenRC in Debian on Monday June 29, 2026 @05:27AM (#48716893)
That was pre-covid, and the guy stepped down. But I can see your point. My point is that they had time to re-think what happened.
Re:Replacing Systemd with OpenRC in Debian on Monday June 29, 2026 @05:24AM (#48716867)
That was my initial thought.
Re:Replacing Systemd with OpenRC in Debian on Monday June 29, 2026 @04:16AM (#48716299)
Absolutely not!
It does.
Re:Bootimus – A Self-Contained PXE and HTTP Boot Server on Saturday June 20, 2026 @11:21AM (#48609855)
There's also https://netboot.xyz which is quite cool too.

And you guys think that by typing or using bookmark with the same address didn't figure out it's your home address? :)

Re:Pgbackrest is no longer being maintained on Monday April 27, 2026 @08:08AM (#47920515)
I am not sure why are you gatekeeping this? People can't comment now that they are sad because of what happened?
Re:Firefox Getting New Controls to Turn Off AI Features on Tuesday February 03, 2026 @02:47AM (#46867847)
Yes, Betterfox all the way in + few custom settings.

I am still in position where I need to put some small pipeline to automatically download latest + merge my stuff and deploy, but even if it's manual every month or two it's not too bad.

Re:The AirPods Pro 3 flight problem on Wednesday October 29, 2025 @01:54AM (#45743123)
I have experienced this as well. However, I wasn't sure where I should report it. Warranty? Bug?

I'm fairly new to the Apple ecosystem, so it's quite confusing. I've tried raising an issue with warranty, but I could absolutely not find a place to do it(I had a few tries, installed some app, but I wasn't able to create anything that wouldn't be visited in the shop, just a support request)

I love immich!
Re:Proxmox Donates €10k to the Perl and Raku Foundation on Wednesday July 23, 2025 @11:12AM (#44660128)
While I appreciate the gesture, it seems a bit low based on the fact that they're using it as their "core" technology, every single day.
Re:Plasma 6.4 review – A worrying trend on Tuesday July 15, 2025 @09:24AM (#44570892)
I'm with you on it. KDE 3(Trinity) was the best.
So you just „released” it, I can’t see anything except „request access”.
Stern is the best!
Re:Chongqing, the Largest City – In Pictures on Monday April 28, 2025 @01:57AM (#43818068)
Agree, pretty much like everywhere, however what I can see from the pictures the air pollution is still there and it looks horrific.

That was 2012/2013, Didi wasn’t there at the time.
