Okay, so how many nights until the blue-eyed employees all leave the company? :p

You don't need Grok to imagine anything.

Well, maybe _you_ do.

Re:Show HN: Unfenced – Land for sale that borders public land on Thursday October 15, 2026 @11:32AM (#50105157)
For real. Just write it yourself.
None. They're flying! :D
A CEO of a large AI company is hardly just a "messenger" here. Come on now.

But it isn't "from scratch", is it? It's "from Claude".
Re:Agentic Engineering Patterns on Wednesday March 04, 2026 @09:56AM (#47248406)
They weren't saying your _post_ was spam. They're saying you build tools for spammers.

Because that's what they'll be used for.

Whatever it is, it needs to be a pun on "oak trees", because they're _eggcorns_ that grew up.
This is sarcasm, right?
Re:Most cars still cost more to charge than to fill up with gas on Wednesday August 02, 2023 @06:04PM (#36978341)
EVs may have reduced use of the friction brakes, but I still wouldn't budget 0% to their maintenance ;)
Re:Chris Hedges: Fascists in Our Midst on Tuesday June 28, 2022 @08:57AM (#31907070)
Your interpretation of what HN is about is narrow at best.

Furthermore, the justices explicitly called out Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell as cases that could potentially be revisited.

Where's the [sic] overdramaticization?

How long do you think it takes for a woman to know she is pregnant?

Never assume Ted Cruz is operating in good faith.
Because the heel hurts "the other" - marginalized people - more than the average person who voted them in. They're willing to suffer a little, as long as the right people suffer _a lot_.
In Texas, as a schoolteacher, you must agree not to boycott Israel. Is boycotting violence?
Given Mini's British origins, this is brilliant
Re:Ultra Wide Monitors – A pain in the neck? (2020) on Saturday August 07, 2021 @10:54AM (#28099015)
It's worse: the author took common diagonal sizes and then assumed those were _widths_. 34" and 49" are diagonal measurements for monitors.
If you egg it on, what makes you better than the "others" you distinguish yourself from?

Small things can still be unethical.

Hey, they said it was _performative_ erudition
Re:Cost of a 51% Attack for Different Cryptocurrencies on Sunday June 06, 2021 @11:08AM (#27413709)
Either I'm missing something big, or this site is.

It assumes you can rent this capacity via NiceHash, but the whole point of a 51% attack is to run _different code_ on the majority of nodes.

Surely NiceHash would rent you capacity running the vanilla e.g. Ethereum code, rather than your fork?

To assume otherwise basically makes NiceHash remote code execution as a service.

Re:On Smoking on Tuesday June 01, 2021 @04:21AM (#27351846)
I certainly did. I still remember the feeling of "oh no, I've fucked it all up" in the dream, and then the feeling of relief when you wake up and realize that you didn't actually smoke.
Re:Try This One Weird Trick Russian Hackers Hate on Monday May 17, 2021 @02:30PM (#27186521)
It pains me how close this is to a haiku
Re:Changes at Basecamp on Tuesday April 27, 2021 @09:02AM (#26955280)
Let's not let Hacker News be a place where we misquote someone with a low-effort reply :)
Flirting from attractive people is always welcome.

Rule 1: be attractive.

Re:YouTube suspends Donald Trump's channel on Wednesday January 13, 2021 @12:48PM (#25765496)
Really? So Congress can force a private company to publish the President's content against their will?
Re:Tips for immersive video calls on Tuesday September 29, 2020 @02:54PM (#24631535)
Agreed. I use the Jabra dongle and it's great, even switching machines via USB hub
Re:We need young programmers; We need old programmers on Monday September 21, 2020 @07:42AM (#24542164)
I believe the best equivalent phrase would be "on the other hand" or "in contrast"
USB PD involves negotiation -- the charger doesn't just "push" 20V to a device that isn't asking for it.
The fact that you call it "politics" shows that it doesn't affect you. This is literally life and death to a large portion of the population.
