You say nothing is free, but Amazon, Discord, Dropbox, Facebook, GitHub, Google, Instagram, Microsoft, Paypal, Reddit, Slack, Steam, TikTok, Twitter etc all offer it for free.

Plus, it's not for the dev, it's for the users of the website.

Re:Go: Support for Generic Methods on Wednesday May 27, 2026 @09:11AM (#48293763)
Sounds like you want this feature, and you just got it. Not sure how that's wrong. You don't add in every feature from the start.
You only download it when some JS requests it for the first time, most people will never have it.
Isn't your prediction a good thing? People prefer humans currently as they are better but if AI is just as good, doesn't that just mean more good PRs?
I think you're misunderstanding how small the chance of creating the same wallet as someone else is.

There are 2^256 wallets. There are 2^72 grains of sand on earth.

The chance of your bank screwing up is a lot higher, by trillions.

Re:Imgur's Community Is in Full Revolt Against Its Owner on Tuesday September 02, 2025 @11:18AM (#45104210)
I don't think any of the porn on Reddit is illegal.
Re:Lightweight open source reCaptcha alternative on Thursday May 15, 2025 @08:59AM (#43994571)
AI's scrape data from web pages just like anything else does. I don't think their existence makes a difference.

So it's the same as a sleep()

Can someone explain why a robot would not be able to calculate the PoW?
I see a preview on the linked page, but still odd instructions can only be emailed to you.
Re:Mozilla Firefox Removes "Do Not Track" Feature Support on Tuesday December 10, 2024 @09:44AM (#42377268)
As a web developer i don't think i have ever supported this feature, but only because i never remembered to. It's a pretty easy feature to add, but unless browsers can force it, you're better off with uBLock.
Re:Dropbox announces 20% global workforce reduction on Wednesday October 30, 2024 @10:01AM (#41994892)
How about not getting a bonus? Last year he got around $1M in bonuses.
While I do agree, one can be done almost instantly in your browser, one takes hours of rendering.
This sounds great, if i could trust it to get it right 100% of the time.
You need a quick reaction time for lots of games, many people have high ping times because of their internet provider or rubbish wifi.

Ad for owning games, if you buy the game on disc, you can sell it, if you download it, you cant, that's on you.

I think this was supposed to be a reply to one of the Home Assistant threads
You can already do this, when you buy a car you own it and manufacturers don't stop you changing the car however you like.
Re:Pornhub Blocked in Texas on Thursday March 14, 2024 @05:01PM (#39708924)
What would a version without adult content contain?
Similar argument to bittorrent. Using it is perfectly legal, using it to download movies is illegal.

Re:Why the hovercraft's time might have arrived on Monday January 15, 2024 @05:01AM (#38999061)
Living in Portsmouth UK, I see a huge hovercraft all the time, maybe the largest in the world for passengers, taking people to the Isle of Wight. I sometimes forgot that they are pretty rare. They are great for kids as they really feel like an experience.

Must be bad compression if the files are getting larger?
It's an Electron app, they also have a native one in beta you can download
Re:Paying Netflix $0.53/H, etc. on Monday December 18, 2023 @11:21AM (#38684599)
You would just need 1 api connection to your bank, which there are many options for these days.
Re:Robinhood launches crypto trading in the European Union on Thursday December 07, 2023 @10:37AM (#38557524)
I was indeed thinking of the proof of reserves audits (attestations).
Re:Robinhood launches crypto trading in the European Union on Thursday December 07, 2023 @09:39AM (#38556820)
This is not true
You can download it and you get a refund.
Presumably you don't have to give it an existing website, you could give it a screenshot/design.
Re:Metric Time on Thursday October 12, 2023 @06:21AM (#37855370)
