Welcome to the new Hacker News, nowhere is safe from the propaganda clowns.

The trees were being "destroyed" (harvested) anyway, that is why they were planted. I don't understand why certain types of people are struggling so hard with the facts of this case.

See the previous comments for why it's a mostly fake story designed to make low-information people angry.

Reddit is an online mental institution. That's hardly an interesting insight, it just makes me sad when I think how good it used to be, before the events of 2016 broke Redditors brains.

The toxicity (we know best) was there from the start when they refused to let you create a local account and forced OpenID.

Where are the hacked websites? That is the litmus test. I'm looking around and I see... nothing?

Surely you understand that making it about "Trump" implies you can fix it by voting, which you can't, because the laws were there under Democrat administrations too.

As soon as you say "Trump man bad" then the underlying discussion that needs to be had is lost.

Unfortunately you have made it about politics, so half the people won't listen to you, and half will agree without understanding the problem of the situation.

Interesting, I had not heard of this theory.

The SE3 is a big phone, for fans of small phones.

give it a rest eh

Originals definitely more expensive than this reissue (which seems reasonably priced). Still, I will always want the original made in USA.

I want to point out that Cloudflare Turnstyle is a separate and more strict product than their usual "are you a bot" protection.

I use Cloudflare protection on all my website but only the account creation page uses Turnstyle.

Subscription app in 2026, no thanks.

Outrageous that this isn't being patched in iOS 18. Genuinely shocked, and indefensible.

iOS 26 is a disaster on devices with 4GB RAM though, so I'm not upgrading my iPhone 13 Mini again (that was a traumatic few days).

No, people are Googling if Cloudflare is down because Reddit is down, and DownDetector is falsely assuming that means Cloudflare is down. A flaw in their methodology.

I also need an answer to this.

RIP. Can't believe she's not more famous if she was first girl video game champion in 1980. We should be championing girls like this.
