My Guesses are:

1- Facebook: Will go bust and be bought by a conglomerate (non IT Group or Microsoft). They will be the "Lehmans Brothers" of the next crisis.

2- Dropbox: Likely to go bust. No diversification and a lot of competition.

3- Twitter: Will be hurt but can survive,due to appeal to Marketers/News/..etc.

4- Google: Will likely drop a lot of products and concentrate on search and self driving cars.

5- Apple: Will become the new Microsoft.

My problem with Facebook is that they didn't diversify their products much (except for Oculus). Once FB is not fashionable anymore and users are using another platform (see WhatsApp and why FB bought them) it will be the end of FB. Can they reinvent themselve? not sure, but they surely need to invest more in R&D and diversify their products like Google, instead of putting everything on IM/Social.

What stack did you use?

Same here. Fluent in 4 languages. For me the best advantage is not learning just the language, but the whole culture. If you can't laugh to comedy standup stars and understand the culture of other people, it really doesn't help much if you are fluent in one language or more. Languages also promote a more liberal worldview and more tolerance for others.

Fun fact: Its the same in Arabic. Numbers are read from right to left.

Adding to OP. What pains me in Affiliate Marketing, is that there is never talk about the end customer. The question whether "would you sell this to your grandmother?" is never even considered. All people are talking about is ROI, Campaigns, CTR, AB Testing, Laser targeting ..etc. Nobody cares if the customer is happy.

Make an audit of your sites or hire someone to do it. Decide what went right and wrong with the whole project. Finally decide whether it have a future. You really need to be firm in your decisions and cut ties with projects that are taking time/ not making money or you don't have interest in them anymore. Go to flippa and sell if needed and concentrate on new projects.

Internet of Things will have somehow the same fate as IPv6. Some will adopt it, manufacturers will push for it, but nobody will care about it. It will be a niche for a few years before the market is ready for it.

Yes we are. But there are a few reasons for that:

1- First, Muslims can't be put in one group, there is 1.6 billion muslims worldwide with hundreds of different views and levels of tolerance.

2- Most of them don't have time or are too busy with their daily life. Think about the % of people who go vote every four years in a democracy. 30% maybe 50% at max vote, the rest can't be bothered because they are busy with their daily problems. Add to that that most Muslims live in a third world country, so they have enough problems already.

3- The first people affected by terrorism in term of body counts and extremism in general are Muslims themselves. Did you know for example that ISIS consider the previous president of egypt (Mursi) who is from the muslim brotherhood to be an infidel who need to be killed.

4- People in Muslim countries are getting numb to all this news reports because they are used to it. I remember when I was a kid watching Arab TV news showing people dying in Palestine and at one time the TV commentator laughed. She then said she was sorry and she didn't mean to laugh at what was happening. Most Arabs/Muslim who care about what's going on the Middle East have already watched too much death to react to it.

5- Some people do want to go to the street and demonstrate against this blood shed but they are not allowed by their local governments. They fear that this could turn in a revolt. Arab spring says hi.

6- There have been hundreds if not thousands of condemnation an protests by muslims all over the world but the media don't cover them much because they don't fit the narrative of evil muslims.

Me as a Muslim I'm ashamed of what is happening and wish this Scumbugs are captured and put to justice. I see to much politic invested in terrorism that I know it's about power not about religion. I also do believe we muslims failed big time to adapt to the 21st century and need to wake up and get our acts together.

I'm really sorry for the families of the victims and I hope they capture the scums who did this.

I see this device as the perfect next-generation-chromecast. You can download anything you want wirelessly and play it on your HD TV. No need for Chromecast to load youtube and be a "closed garden" of google.

I work from home. I have to convince my wife all the time that I'm actually working and can't just run to the store and get groceries. I like working from home, but from time to time it's good to go see people in the office. If you are keen on making a career you have to show up and socialize a bit. First the Jizya was not a Tax payed because they weren't Muslims. It was payed for everyone who didn't participate in Islamic military. Think of it like a Latino living in the US and paying a fee (passport fees, green card fees..etc) for not participating in US military. Non-Muslim benefited from the same as Muslims in terms of public social help. Secondly, Zakat can be sometimes higher than the Tax paid by non-Muslims. Depending on how much you own.

A few things that spring to mind:

- Facebook is more about real time communication and chat. Reddit is more a forum oriented system with a lot of Subreddit (very hard to monetize). Facebook bought Whatsapp because it was eating up it's market which is the real time communication.

- Facebook have more information about it's users (age, location, friends, ethnicity, interests..etc) which make it more valuable for marketer > ie more money. Reddit knows less about its users and their online ad serving system is in the beginning stage at most. Reddit users also tend to know more about technology (adblocks) and are more sensitive toward ads.

- Reddit need to take a lesson from Digg or even the recent changes to Slashdot. Introducing anything new to this kind of communities might mean their downfall. The market place seems like a good ideas but not fully explored.

Tesla comes to mind here. They are competing with giants like GM, Ford, VW. But they have a unique product and revolutionized the electric car industry. I think if you want to make it you need to be very unique and different from other products. You can also try targeting a specific audience at first instead of everyone. Maybe women of certain age and background. Or make it something cool to have for the younger generation. You will need a killer feature that makes you distinct from others.

CCIE here. I did all my certs by self study. If you want to go CCNA > CCNP > CCIE, I advise building a small lab. If you just want to learn without getting a related job you can go the virtualization route (GNS3) or simulation (packet tracer). It also depends on which track you choose CCNA R&S, CCNA Voice or CCNA Security. I had a few classes for other certifications but to be honest you can do them by yourself and using the internet.

Not really, the market in North africa is tightly related to france market. In france, having a degree is almost a must. You can't hack yourself around things unless you are really very very lucky. Even career changes are looked upon badly. Example: you are an engineer and you want to switch to management, unless you have a degree in management, you will have a hard time moving up the ladder. The franco system is very very different from the Anglo-saxson system where people are more risky and hacking around the system is rewarded.
