Considering how prevalent abusive and wildly inaccurate automatic take downs are one must consider google itself is exploiting the process to obtain personal information. Google absolutely doesn't want you to remain anonymous it diminishethree value of their analitics.
I think they should provide more tools to the uploader so they can make informed choices and defend their rights. I fear google will avoid this this as google benifits from the abusive system.
The title is not particularly accurate. Starting bid of 30 per phone with crops licensing discounts and discount for 'non infringing' phones. Non infringing being ones that apple did not consider to be outright copy of the iPhone trade dress and then quirky features.
Apple made enormous effort to differentiate the product and give it a personality. Samsung did not just try to match the features the old ones looked like copies.
It is an option you need to approve on the Mac the iPhone automatically backers itself up so it is a non issue unless your computer or Mac is not backed up too.
I don't think people would be enthusiastic about the larger file sizes and extra visual noise with VP8 in fast moving videos or those with a lot of contrast comaired to H264 Encode times were much longer too. My experience may not be typical but I could not get my videos to look as good even with much larger files. I could not find anyone with real world video using it. Unless they have made some big advances recently I just don't understand how they can claim parity.
Fish has claimed 40,000 in the past. Part of this I suspect is developer time and expensises simply for the cirtifiication not MS fees. For a small company with limited number of employees you cant deligate the certification tasks and result in a delay in developling a new game as people are diverted for the certification process. It is an unfortunate situation but part of the cost and hassle is to punish unfinished games. It hasn't stopped the big game companies from constant day one patches.
chest your english is clear and to the point. Ignore those comments he is off on a tangent. I suspect the anger, FEAR and disgust with SOPA PROTECT IP and the other efforts to censor the internet and eliminate sure processes is the origin of many of this not so generous comments. These undermine the internet our jobs, not to be overly dramatic, and everyones freedom not just in the US. The biggest copyright holders are at the forfront I can understand the spillover. Unfortunately many of the people that actually create the great works are against it but they don't have the say or the influence individually. Regards.
You can talk up your favorite team, principle or country without a point by point attack on your rivals. Apple has had some great successes and failures that open source can learn from and can stand on their shoulders to make an even better product. Characterizing Apple and Jobs as some one dimensional boogy man doent really contribute to growth. No need for flame ware rehash.
tl;dr Dont waste your time on this article.
Standing in not accepted risk factor for carotid atherosclerosis. There is no shortage of research about the dangers of sitting including obesity which is a risk factor of symptomatic carotid atherosclerosis. Varicose veins wile not very attractive are not considered a serious health problem and are treatable I would invite the author to quantify the desks with peer reviewed research. The only link was to a 32 person self survey. Not exactly the most reliable form of research.
I would also like to note this is not a peer reviewed article ones does the man have a medical degree and is not qualified to give medical advice. Not staying in one position sitting or standing and increasing your activity level is sound advice. I find the claims that standing is dangerous are surprising and are against everything I learned or read about accepted medical recommendations.
Sometimes trying to make things too simple just adds complexity. A good password manager can do this without the same risk of identity theft and loss of anonymity. I think many repressive governments would love to have one central tracking option. Even if you could somehow insure that it would not be aboust you would want the ability of a local record incase of censorship or domain blocking by competing businesses.
I am unconvinced that the Internet would not work without a reasonable level of anonymity. A secure log in is not required for every website you visit as the article seems to claim.
Working as a male in a female dominated profession it is painfully obvious that this kind of behavior is not unique to men. I find it ironic that people want women somehow exempt from this unconscious behavior. It is not hard to spot the people male or female that dress to be taken seriously. I avoid the likely coulees sales rep irrigardless of gender and how they dress is a huge part of how I determine who needs to be avoided so i will not waste my time. If you are dressed like a salesmen or eye candy you have lost half the battle irrigardless of sex.
The only issue I see is how do you avoid forcing the ligitamate women into a second class uniform of sorts ie geek girl so they can be taken seriously.
This strikes to the heart of the article. Mentoning finder is a poor example? Finder should only be a fall back most of the files should be automatically connected to an app. It seems such an alien concept that many windows users can not grasp it even after they switch. I think the the windows mobile OS is moving in the same direction but I expect a lot of resistance to implementing it platform wide. The ultimate concern is that windows will spend all their time on marginal improvements to how things are done where they could skip all that hassle entirely like you can with the iPhone and some of the latest Mac apps.
Lion isn't there yet there is a strong argument for just using a tablet. The explorer finder and all the other expectations for what is in an OS just get in the way. Most people just want a gadget that gets things done not sometihingnthey need to root and (re)program.
Windows 3.1 had a pretty awesome file acess system for the time win 2000 nt was the best though clean search with predictable results. That is an aside if you need to extensively use search or curate your files something is suboptimal in tour apps.
That comment would have made you sound pretty cool 10 years ago before warrentles searches desires became commonplace and people are mercilessly harassed and even tortured because of race or name. why people are cool with torture and the suspension of the constitution is bend me.
The phrase he uses statistics like a drunk not for illumination but support comes to mind. Look at the methodology and read the original research it is inadequate.
oMG do it for the children is no reason to abandon the scientific method.
Quit spamming and read the research it is based on. It is not of the best quality.
Just how do you develop a moral compass if you are denied access to more than a single viewpoint? I suspect you have only the most superficial understanding of of modern video games. Try to play Heavy Rain and not be moved. I honestly think that the point of these laws are to limit access to views and ideas. Your own post supports this.
Should we bad trashy romance novels because they give women impure thoughts? This patrician attitude is unethical. Blocking people from conflicting views will only stunt their ethical growth yet you and others would promote a single unexamined view.
Please note a major retail store refused to sell me Heavy Rain dispute being twice 18 with a ID. There is no excuse for this.
Agreed. Personally it seems they made purly emotional decision to hate a trend and found "logical reasons" to support their whimsical supposition.
I think most offensive is the implication that it is our duty to devastate our lands with pesticide and the chemical waste that go with it. This has to be one of the most contra logical articles I have seen in some time. I am for careful genetic engineering but so far it seems to bu used for noting more than a form of hydraulic despotism.
Conformation bias strikes again. There continues to be is a market for electronic typewriters and people are making them. Mechanical typewriters may be defunct but that is not the only kind. Everyone expects them to have gone away so they don't bother checking the facts.
Accuracy ethics the incentive to build a good product and support it. Why bother investing in a new and better way of doing things if someone can copy you to the last icon and trick users into buying something cheaper. The one phone was sold as just like a iPhone to unsuspecting coustomers before ATT lost exclusivity.
Note many of the android fans hated the knock off just as much as Apple. The copied interface was not as polished as the standard Android is. Personally this seems a profound disservice to open source and android. They can stand on their own merit without stealing.
