This doesn't apply to Google Workspace addresses that most small businesses will be using.

Is this site opensource? It's beautiful I kind've want one

Ah it'll be just like 2015 again
Re:GIMP Development Update on Monday August 17, 2026 @08:02AM (#49329514)
It's lovely to see such a positive changelog combining the efforts of multiple foss developers, some of which are brand new contributors fixing bugs. Especially in this dark age of opensource closing contributions to defend against endless AI slop committers.

These systems are fascinating, really feels like a great loss now that parcel deliveries are higher than ever before.
Rookie mistake

I love the animation on the background of your website. And I totally understand what you mean about using a tool, if it's too delicate to do the job, then it's not doing its job. Imagine buying a hammer and trying to keep it clear of scuffs, it's obviously going to impede your work.
Even if Valve holds a significant market share of the PC Gaming market, this is a harsh conclusion. There are other significantly more expensive and restrictive options, such as the Windows Store for Windows, or the Play Store for Android, or the App Store for iOS and MacOS. PC has much free-er and more accessible options for indie developers, like itch.io. It's probably the least monopolistic gaming market out there. The struggle of course is advertising and reach, not sure who the gate keepers for that were with TTD, maybe magazines?
Conversely, I would not be shocked to see the vast majority of multi-linguals to be low-income immigrants.

>FFmpeg's AAC DEcoder is busted with regards to stereo PNS, and the bug may be in other AAC decoders too, so we work around it in the encoder. Since no other encoder used PNS, the bug was not found until now.

I don't know what PNS is, but I bet this has been bothering someone's niche use-case for 20 years

Do you have old 2000s era Argos catalogues? Argos is a shop in the UK, I've been tracking down old catalogues to see if my childhood CD player is in there, can't find evidence of it anywhere and so many were made. The catalogues are sort of rare but were given away for free, now people sell old ones on ebay
Very exciting good luck to them all
Or the Rust re-write rURL
That's lovely
If you think of the Loop system as a way of transporting people then it will obviously look insanely stupid.

But if you consider what it really is - an easy way to sell Teslas to cities for no benefit, then it makes perfect sense.

> A quick check of Google Maps showed the route we were taking, on city streets, took 6 minutes. As we emerged into the sunshine at Westgate, I checked my timer. Six minutes. I’d saved zero minutes.

Beautiful

Re:GTA 6 Developers Unionize on Friday May 29, 2026 @12:02PM (#48325006)
I think a never-ending pool of young, fresh, and naïve graduates happy to sell their soul to make video games has been a strong contributor for low wages for a while. Any time someone gets too senior, just replace them with another graduate. Naturally, the product quality and timescale suffers too.
Re:GTA 6 Developers Unionize on Friday May 29, 2026 @11:59AM (#48324944)
This is great news, unions not only improve working conditions, but also improve the final product by not having underpaid stressed staff with high turn-over. It's a good sign for the future product quality of any company to see workers unionise.

To be honest, CI has always been a massive risk, I'm a bit miffed at how blasé some people are about providing runners.

I have no idea what Florida's weather patterns are

Think we've found the solution right there
Re:Who Killed the Florida Orange? on Wednesday April 22, 2026 @04:35AM (#47860760)
They mention it as a critical factor, the disease is spread by insects, which is spread by hurricanes. The areas they grow the oranges never used to get hurricanes.

> Hurricanes turned out to be a vector for spreading the little winged bug. The wind carried the psyllid all over the state, dropping it off in hundreds of thousands of acres of groves.

> It was the perfect storm. And then, of course, there were the actual perfect storms, the high-caliber hurricanes that, before climate change, didn’t come to the Ridge: Irma, Ian, Milton, massive cells, all direct hits on the groves.

> At the time, she required daily blood transfusions and permanent blood thinning medication to control her illness.

Daily blood transfusions sounds like such a nightmare, I couldn't imagine.

> A woman who lived with three life-threatening autoimmune diseases for more than a decade has returned to a near-normal life after a cell therapy reset her wayward immune system.

Absolutely incredible, Auto Immune disease is horrific.

Ignoring legal advice from your lawyers because you managed to convince the text generator that something is possible (even though it also advised against it) is really up there for Bad Ideas.
Comically evil company strikes again. There is no depth Oracle will not sink too, no funding they will not cut, no quality they will not sacrifice.
Re:How to Turn Anything into a Router on Monday March 30, 2026 @11:24AM (#47575498)
I suppose if you manage to get OpenWRT or something onto your switch you could use it as a router.
Licensing rarely makes sense
GrapheneOS doesn't give you root access, citing security issues it introduces. You could re-compile your own copy with root access, though not sure if we'll then be back to some non-certified OS that can't make payments...
Re:Man accidentally gains control of 7k robot vacuums on Monday February 23, 2026 @09:13AM (#47122607)
This applies to most Smeg products. Which is a shame, they used to be really good and long-lasting.
Re:Loops is a federated, open-source TikTok on Monday February 23, 2026 @07:03AM (#47121228)
This is the same for every internet service, and the primary experience when signing up to big centralised services like Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. If they think your account is suspicious in any way, instantly gone with no way to appeal, I've seen a number of friends experience this recently and they're not even outliers using a VPN or 'unusual' email or anything. At least with federated services, you have the opportunity to keep backups of your profile and sign-up with another instance whenever you want.
