Other countries adopting it is already happening. I live in Bolivia, and a few events made QR payment systems widely used across the country. I have family in Peru, and it is a similar case with Yape, another QR payment system. In Bolivia, fintech companies also offer integration with Pix in Brazil without the need for a CPF to send and receive payments. Since we are neighbors, this is very handy.

I agree it is happening globally, I'm from South America and there are statistics of birthrate fall as well in my country. As personal experience in my company ~90% are single childless and we are in ours 30s 40s.

My first job as Software Engineer, the recruiter found me because I participated in ICPC contests, I don't know how common it is today but it happened ~10 years ago.

At my country (Bolivia) during the coup we noticed real news being reported as fake news and take down, fb tools don't really work in either side real or fake.

how would you reproduce a bug otherwise
Learning how to learn course in coursera is by far the best resource, I compiled some other resources in my wiki https://github.com/hrnn/wiki/wiki/Lifelong-Learning hope it helps.
Re:Ask HN: Do you search for podcasts episodes based on a topic? on Thursday February 14, 2019 @12:26PM (#19163754)
Hi I sort of do the same, when I read a book I usually look for podcast interviews or book reviews about the book, and as a software engineer when I want to pick up a technology to learn before start following tutorials I look for podcast about the particular technology this is great because people is forced to describe the technology(framework/library/utility) in speaking words.

Re:Ask HN: Need More MOOC on Discrete Math on Thursday August 16, 2018 @03:37PM (#17777818)
Coursera is really good. Introduction to Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science | Coursera https://www.coursera.org/specializations/discrete-mathematic...

Alexander Shen is one of the professors back in school his book helped me in stuff related to competitive programming.

If you have time I suggest to take the Georgia Tech Computer Networking course free at udacity https://www.udacity.com/course/computer-networking--ud436
That happens at G too, I remember the case where all open wifi were tracked by street view software while mapping streets, and it led to G being sued.
I took the discrete math specialization https://www.coursera.org/specializations/discrete-mathematic... but I already had took a course at college, the coursera material was really helpful to fill my gaps.
