Love these kinds of fonts.

I've used Recursive Mono Casual for all my coding for years now and I love it. ( https://www.recursive.design )

The italics are nicely distinctive from the normal font. Everything super legible.

Re:'W' Considered Harmful on Wednesday March 02, 2011 @06:05AM (#2279163)
In dutch, W is pronounced more or less like you would pronounce 'wey' but without the 'y' sound at the end. (the actual sound doesn't exist in english afaik)

Re:Ask HN: What do you think of e-cigarettes? on Tuesday August 18, 2009 @03:12AM (#769950)
Nicotine makes you feel better for a short while. The reason you've been feeling bad is because you lack nicotine. Non smokers are always on the level of 'feeling good', they don't need nicotine to compensate for their lack of nicotine.

Don't start smoking. You don't need it.

Re:How I (almost) use my computer without a mouse on Wednesday August 05, 2009 @02:20PM (#743936)
StumpWM + Conkeror for browsing, terminal for everything else.

No mouse required. Try it. Love it.

Re:You got the programming fatigue? on Sunday August 02, 2009 @03:51AM (#737196)
You just described my exact work setup.

A couple more suggestions:

- Try to get your screen at eye level. If you can avoid having to look down all the time, you'll put much less strain on your back.

- Your forearm and upper arm should be making an angle close to 90 degrees.

- A little footbench or something you can lean on with your feet, so you don't have your legs dangling or being folded up underneath your chair.

Re:Ask HN: What keeps you away from starting startups? on Thursday July 30, 2009 @02:13AM (#731753)
When you have a family and a mortgage, it's not a game. Failure is not an option. That's the main reason I don't do it.
Re:Ask HN: How many of you play music? on Tuesday June 09, 2009 @08:52AM (#648957)
I play guitar in a band. Mostly pop/blues/soul/rock, and a tiny bit of jazz.
