Localeur is a curated community of local insiders who want to help you experience local in their city. While review sites lack authenticity and local credibility, and travel guide books go out of date the moment they’re published, Localeur gives you a real look into what it’s like to be a local. If it’s not local, it’s not on Localeur.
Since launching Localeur in 2013, our mission has been to help people experience local wherever they go. We are passionate about helping people feel like they belong and experiencing the true culture of a city, rather than the tourist traps and chains. Quality, authenticity and integrity are paramount to us achieving this mission.
We are looking for a great JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and quality product is important.
Please send any resumes and sample apps to [email protected]

If you dont want to mess with building for iOS and Android and XYZ then I would recommend looking into Phonegap. Phonegap uses Cordova to access all of the native apis etc. However what Phonegap does offer thats different is the entire build system. So if you are DIY with Cordova you run all of the build tasks but if you are doing it with Phonegap you can hook up your github repo and they will build for all of the supported platforms for you. No messing with XCode etc.
If you are start working heavily with Javascript this same type of thought will really hold true. You dont want to couple your users experience too much based on one specific framework.
Im also a fan of the East side so you can find food trucks there, lots of great bars, and of course live music (White Horse is a must). Check out www.do512.com and you can find some of the fun music happenings around town.
I just stumbled on http://www.senchalabs.org/philogl/ which looks promising so I will probably check it out.
https://github.com/drojdjou/J3Dis another one that looks interesting.
If you arent a designer(which it doesnt look like you are) then check out some of the many great resources available like the wonderful http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/ Although you should try to make a site look unique this can help you get something nice up and running very quickly.
The other thing I would recommend is watching this keynote http://www.infoq.com/presentations/From-Crap-to-App
Also the name is a bit confusing. Its short and simply which is good but is it a word? Is it made up of things that would make sense for the site? ez (easy) a (lak) lack? Thats how I read it and that doesnt make any sense for collages.
