They literally remove features, and you defended them by saying "there's CLI available"?

That's a very old problem that people building recommendation systems solved 10 years ago.

There is no need to solve them when you can just bypass them.

Euro are already using a different standard (CCS1 vs CCS2)

I think the real problem is that other apps do use ssh and malicious actors can inject untrusted input without the user's consent.

The git POC is one example, and while I do think that git also needs to be updated, fixing the problem on the ssh side is also a good idea

Re:KeePassXC 2.6.1 on Thursday August 20, 2020 @01:14PM (#24225707)
KeePass has the ability to import Bitwarden JSON file so there's little need for the feature.

or when you really audit the code, find a problem, submit a patch and then the author dismisses your patch as "boring"

It depends on the exploit but DOS ARE security vulnerabilities and their impact can range from very low to high severity.

And please OP don't listen to this and report the vulnerability responsibly even if you're not so sure if it's a security vulnerability or not

> Held up for months

Held up by AMD, not by LLVM's reviewers. They added some comments right away and AMD sent an updated patch 2 months later.

DigitalFoundry had an interesting take on frame rate/frame time performance on Intel/AMD. If you look at the graph you can see Ryzen dip down more for a few times when there's more computation or memory throughput needed.
Re:DDoS Protection With IPtables on Monday June 03, 2019 @01:26PM (#20085700)
cloudflare used to use iptables with SYNPROXY, simple blocking rule and later BPF matching.

Your server would be dead in any large scale attack anyway, iptables is fine and works well

The game is an exact copy of Tap Titans. Clicker Heroes is popular in Steam so they may copy the name as well
Re:Oni: Modern Modal Editing – Powered by Neovim on Monday March 26, 2018 @03:34AM (#16677272)
evil-mode is actually useful. VSCode's vim plugin loads really slow when you change project, doesn't have proper insert/normal/visual mode map, etc.
Re:Hype or Not? Some Perspective on OpenAI’s DotA 2 Bot on Saturday August 12, 2017 @11:13PM (#15001298)
It worths noting that, shortly after they offer SF arcana (extremely rare item), 50 people did go and beat the bot on the spot.
Re:Zcash begins on Friday October 28, 2016 @02:23PM (#12819148)
Most if not all successful cryptocurrencies, like BitCoin, are only premied a genesis block, a few block for confirmation and then maybe a few days of beta release.

10% is hilariously greed and maybe fit "nothing but scams"

As an user of FB@W, and now Workspace, its Work Chat is largely useless. No native client, no API, the only crowd control is group.

It's just a dumbed down version of Messenger, and I don't think a team in my company want to use it, Slack is much better and worth learning. After several months we're just using it as another Viber/Whatsapp/etc..

And then again, it's hard to install a virtualenv successfully the first time.
Why? I installed most of my apps from Play Store, if some apps have country restriction, it's because they have a good reason to do so (range of service or support)
Re:New Werkzeug and Flask Releases on Thursday June 13, 2013 @11:44PM (#5878148)
I think it's the different between a normal python application and a web app: url dispatcher/route, request handler, template, extension...I started with Django, but Flask clears thing better for me.
SPDY isn't a trademarked technology, the name is trademarked (it should be), the protocol is not.

The way SPDY works is just like OAuth/OAuth2, HTTP, XMPP work: someone invent/improve a protocol, working on draft and get it open standard. I don't see any problem with that.

Re:Flash vs HTML - Waste Invaders on Friday March 08, 2013 @09:13AM (#5343478)
You can play the game without liking anything, can't you ?
isn't that flash plugin features ? It's a big problem with flash game on Kongregate for a long time now.

Re:Why was Pinball removed from Windows Vista? on Wednesday December 19, 2012 @05:22AM (#4941971)
Sure.

Comment should be "why I did this", and code should be "how I did this", some people just write in "what did I do" and walk away thought they have comment

Code took from a project I'm working with:

Re:Google search on Android marketplace is awful on Monday August 22, 2011 @10:43PM (#2915113)
The first and the third result seems resonable to me, Free, have over 100.000 install, in category Travel, and related to Travel as well.

Those "TRIPOSO TRAVEL GUIDES" app is a little problem there, but most of them have over 1.000 install, and related to Travel, then the result is acceptable.

The truth is, when I search an app name in the Market, I expect an App that have this function, not the App have this name. Doing this can prevent malware app have a fake name. I don't really know how Google do search at the Market, but I always found what I wanted here.

And remember you're searching for 'usa' 'travel' and 'guide' and it combination, not the whole text.

Re:Google search on Android marketplace is awful on Monday August 22, 2011 @09:41PM (#2914971)
The author complain that when he search his own app name, his app listed at number 20. I can't find any wrong about it, I would not trust or want an app listed in the top, when it has only 1-5 install and 0 rating. Google knows how to do search, and they know the name is not all.
Re:Has Google wasted $12bn on a dud patent poker-chip? on Monday August 15, 2011 @01:11PM (#2887736)
FTFA: "Android is a copycat platform. The APIs copy Java, and the UI copies Apple's iPhone." too true to read!
Since when Denial of Service == DDOS ?
Google showed that this is Chrome showcase, a Chrome experiment, isn't that clear ?
Re:Google.com detecting malware and notifying search users on Tuesday July 19, 2011 @11:42PM (#2784206)
If your computer was infected that bad, then there's no one can help you know, include Google. Google just try to help.
