The bigger question IMO is: why the fuck did they raise so much money? Don't they primarily just distribute text content?
I can see people getting stupid ideas if they have resources at their hands that far outpace their needs. Ideas that in the end might torpedo your original vision and customer base.
But maybe that's just a sign of me not having an entrepreneur's mind.
That's where ripgrep-all comes into play which will grep through archives, PDFs, ebooks, documents, etc.
Or create a function that returns a view of a table minus named columns in situ if that's really a common case for you. Just as an idea.
Don't buy a garbage laptop with soldered RAM and just upgrade it yourself?
The bundled Mattermost was a bit flaky IIRC but with a separate instance (in Docker) using Gitlab SSO was no problem.
Using SSO for Sentry was a bit more problematic as it's an unofficial plugin but IIRC it was due to Gitlab not sending the correct scope.
AFAIK showing up drunk isn't enough but if you fuck up (I think that's the legal term) and say you drop the production DB while drunk that you can be fired immediately.
At least in Germany this goes both ways. The period can also be longer depending on your seniority. This is to give the company time to find a proper replacement for you and allow for a smoother handoff. Of course if both parties agree the grace period can be skipped or shortened.
You usually don't get stuck with duds because there's a probationary period of (max.) 6 months in the beginning in which these protections are not in place.
Also (after the probationary period) the company needs a legal reason to fire you. If they wanna fire you for incompetence oder insubordination they need to have reprimanded you at least once officially, in written form. Only after getting a 2nd reprimand for the SAME THING can they act on it. Meaning if you told the boss to go fuck themselves once and shown up drunk to work once they wouldn't have legal grounds to fire you and if they did you'd drag their ass to labour court and get some kind of compensation.
It's also plainly true depending who "they" are in "their mistakes".
The paradox of twelve steps is that you are supposed to consider yourself at powerless and submit to your higher power yet at the same time every failing is only down to you and resets all progress.
There's BBC Horizon episode called "What happened before the Big Bang?" where Penrose stated that he used t to kinda roll his eyes when people asked what happened before because the question didn't make sense.
The whole episode is a wild ride including people from the Perimeter Institute proving soon to me how bizarre theoretical physics is at its frontier. Highly recommended watch.
>Unlike the FANG companies, Microsoft doesn't tend to rip the carpet out from under independent developers like that.
No, they roll them into the carpet and sodomize them like they did with Keivan Beigi and at most just sheepishly say sorry after some public outcry.
Just a tangent, but you can send Mullvad an envelope with cash and your account number as a form of payment. That's not a proof of trust but it's a statement IMO
Mostly true but there things like Collection #1 and Anti Public Combo List which are amalgamations of unknown provenance. A lot of it is probably prior breaches but I wouldn't be surprised if it contained phishing data.
I got C&D from Daedalic Entertainment. They demanded 1.1k or something along the lines. I was on welfare at the time, so a lawyer was not within my means,so I objected. I'm not sure what happened next because I probably didn't open the letter from the court (getting a manila envelope is fucking scary in addition to the stress of already being broke) but they seemed to have got a verdict against me and suddenly I owed over 2k.
That being said I got a few letters from lawyers and replied with a legal note promising not to do it again (with any clause concerning automatic fines removed) and beat them by simply ignoring their demands afterwards. So it's entirely possible that I simply fucked myself with Daedalic by not opening their first letter and replying with a note.
I haven't pirated in years but have gotten a VPN and will start back up because the fragmentation in the streaming space pisses me off too much especially since there's stuff I can't legally get here.
"Urine fortified with LSD and stored in amber glass or nontransparent polyethylene containers showed no change in concentration under any light conditions. Stability of LSD in transparent containers under light was dependent on the distance between the light source and the samples, the wavelength of light, exposure time, and the intensity of light. After prolonged exposure to heat in alkaline pH conditions, 10 to 15% of the parent LSD epimerized to iso-LSD. Under acidic conditions, less than 5% of the LSD was converted to iso-LSD. We also demonstrated that trace amounts of metal ions in buffer or urine could catalyze the decomposition of LSD and that this process can be avoided by the addition of EDTA. This study demonstrates the importance of proper storage conditions of LSD in urine in order to insure proper analytical testing results over time."

As to the transdermal activity IIRC Hofmann himself said that it isn't really active and his own trip was probably caused by him getting some on his hands and then rubbing it into a mucous membrane (eyes, nose, mouth).
I really don't get this line of reasoning. If I do something with a product that is (maybe even explicitly) unsupported by the manufacturer I don't have a reasonable leg to stand on.
We've recently had this with a customer where they used the concrete calls of our app to automate some of their stuff (we had had no public API for that action at that point because we hadn't had the need so far and so did no other customer or to be precise: no customer was prepared to shell out the cash for us to develop it) and after we changed something they suddenly weren't able to script the creation of customer entries in their installation. We had told them at least two years ago that the way they interacted with our system was but supported (we only noticed them automating stuff back then because it was throwing exceptions in our backend) and while we were nice enough to fix it this time because the fix was trivial we recommended that they should switch to our supported API. Two weeks ago theyir stuff broke again and we told them to use the API or fuck off.
NDAs, etc. are contract law. Contracts need to be entered in without duress as they would be felonies otherwise. The others are societal contracts which operate much more akin to taxes from a philosophical point of view. But calling today's copyright law a temporary restriction is cynical at best.
That seems kinda low. I've personally never seen anyone get knocked out by a single bolus < 1mg/kg. The only citation I can find is 0,5-2,0 mg/kg if primed with midazolam which sounds more reasonable but is still a big caveat.
A lot of doses < 1 mg/kg are used in e.g. caudal blocks https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4258981/
If it were k3hup I would assume it would have something to do with detaching processes but I'm showing my bias here
Look into ReactPHP, Swoole and Spatie
Try Prestissimo, which enables composer to download packages in parallel
composer global require hirak/prestissimo
Couldn't you just have proxied them over your own host Don't know what gear you're on but with e.g. Hetzner you get 20 TB for 3€/month
>even big names like Cisco
Even? By now Cisco having hardcoded credentials and glaring security fuckups is a meme.
You can add e.g. descriptions to your params if needed. Also phpdoc understands types like string[] for arrays and union types like (int|string) for untyped params.
Do you think Mormons object to coding in Java? Do vegetarians only use bash and zsh because fish is offensive? Do Muslims refuse to deploy snort because their mascot is a pig? Do Christians avoid FreeBSD because of its devil or Unixes as a whole because of daemons?
The only people who will be offended are those who seek to be (and even better: if they're offended on behalf of others which is one of the most patronising behaviours imaginable)
The problem with NordVPN isn't that they had a breach and their keys were leaked (ok, well that is huge fucking problem) due to a forgotten KVM but that they didn't fess up till 18 months later when some independent researcher brought that to light.
At the same time it's never been easier for producers of niche art to find their audience and capitalize on it, simply because the cost of production and distribution is nearing zero and there are basically no more gatekeepers (in the traditional sense).
1. Property is theft is an anarchist position. While libertarians (as you cite the Cato Institute) and anarchists have an overlap of some positions, they are greatly at odds in others.
2. Whenever somebody starts telling me what the Founding Fathers thought I expect some BS which is only there to support their opinion and is so lopsided that it might as well be called a lie.
