Disagree. In my experience particularly over the last few weeks, Gemini has gotten very good at understanding what i'm asking for and giving a relevant response that 9 times out of 10 just answers my question without me having to go further into the relevant wiki link etc.
Never heard of it but will chekc it out, thanks!
Very much agree. I still use it on windows because nothing else seems much better, but there are a lot of things I feel are fairly basic/core features that just don't work right, I often find myself wanting to use the gmail web..

I'd settle for a siri that can at least turn the lights off properly.
Google assistant on the nvidia shield left Siri in the dust years ago. Siri can't even chain basic commands in your smart home, it can't retain any kind of context (e.g. dim the lights...a bit more).
Most baths (in the UK at least) have overflows right so the primary risk is just wasting a lot of water?
There are SO many fundamentally bad/broken design decisions in iOS now, from simply infuriating to use elements to downright broken ones.
The amount of times the keyboard just blocks some button, a setting is nested 5/6 menus deep, things that used to be slick no longer just work.
I set alarms on my iPad sometimes, theres a floating popup, you can't dismiss it by clicking away like you would expect, you have to click the x, [image](https://support.apple.com/guide/ipad/set-an-alarm-ipadec8a36...)
THe settings siutation is so annoying, there are still so many options locked away inside control panel and the new settings app has a few that dont exist in control panel, its so fragmented.
Something you are not accounting for is that rolling stock is fully private still, and a huge huge chunk of the profits. Operators don't make much money, the govt owns and runs the rails themselves, but the rollling stock is where a lot of the money goes
A public demo or some screenshots would go a long way, imo. Even finding the comunity editiion took me a minute...
TBH even that can be a hard sell at times
This is a super annoying quirk, lots of things don't work well if you're using workspace as a normal gmail account, and they don't quite warn you up front.
You dont even notice it at first, but when I started wearing airpods pro at work, the NOISE of the aircon etc when you have to take them out is wild.
What happens to purchasers if/when apple update MacOS and this no longer works?
For a while I was running a windows VM with the iCloud for windows utility that syncs your photos to a folder on your windows PC, iirc it worker reasonably well as an 'automated' sync solution. (under the surface the folder was a share on my NAS, which in turn fed into a separate immich instance)
I have a 5950X system that will just randomly shut down, I've RMA'd the CPU, tried swapping the RAM, GPU, PSU and the motherboard in different combinations. I cannot track down a specific issue and it just won't be stable. I've given up and decided to discard the PC of theseus and build a new one -_-.
Not sure on docker desktops specifics but usually large companies have enterprise/business licencing available and specifically do not deal with this, and do not want to manually deal with this, because they can use SSO & dynamically assign licenses to user groups etc.
They still regularly reference labs sourced findings & data in the current videos.
Why oh why can't the search default to "view as list" weeps
My PC if put to sleep will completely randomly just wake up in the middle of the night. Its infuriatingly annoying to figure out why/which app is causing it as its not easily reproducible
I use one called KyBook atm that i've got no real complaints about. If you can set up calibre-web or something similar you can get local network sync working and it can see your library when you're at home and download the books to the device for when you're away.
Probably just preference but I hate when apps put things in the documents folder, thats where I want to put the things I've created specifically, not automated config files etc. There should be a 'Preferences' folder or something to separate the chod in AppData from the useful stuff.
We already do electricity -> hydrogen generation, the hydrogen is then stored in underground pumped storage (empty gas wells), and can be used in place of natural gas.
Although presumably if you set up one of these facilities you need it running 24/7 to be profitable not just when there is a lull in demand elsewhere.
The coolant inlet flange on a friends ~2015 730d, made of plastic, cracked recently. To remove & replace it you have to pull the whole inlet manifold and a whole host of other bits off.
Can't you just burn up the power, e.g. with water->hydrogen conversion, water desalination, pumped hydro, etc. Whenever the grid isn't demanding 100% for your power you throw it at some other profit-generating venture.
Granted you then have to built of of those power-using-things and only run it when grid demand drops.
Any idea, how does the dirt/each return over time to sustain plant life? Or is it just a gradual grow inwards with plant matter slowly forming topsoil?
I guess so, but those are also all optional right? IF you would only write freehand with a ballpoint in real life then you wont use any of those menu options on-device either? IIRC the native notes app on iPad will dynamically create bullet lists, rule lines etc from your freehand typing without needing to select things.
would something like an ipad + apple pencil not bridge this concept? The usage of pen & paper with the addition of the digital world; OCR, tagging etc.
I figured that if they have the same feel as the membrane, them being mechanical is not relevant, as OP never gave a veto on mechanical options. I looked up the estimated travel and actuation pressures for those offerings in comparison to the Logitech.
