Great job, it's unique!

Don't confuse GIT(1) the protocol with this (keep in active memory the EEE tactics).

What does RadosGW miss?
Just to be sure install Stacker (from STAC electronics) too
Re:Show HN: enveil – hide your .env secrets from prAIng eyes on Tuesday February 24, 2026 @01:33AM (#47133584)
Not the author but No, the decryption would ask the secret again? The readme mentions it's wiped from memory after use.

Looks good. Almost stopped reading due the npm example, grasped it was just a use case, kept reading.

Kernel keyring support would be the next step?

PASS=$(keyctl print $(keyctl search @s user enveil_key))

Re:Microsoft's Azure Linux on Thursday January 29, 2026 @01:39AM (#46806617)
Ditch the VScode virus before it hurts. LLM based action infiltration will rise in 2026 but rest assured, that doesn't work in NeoVIM/VIM.
Re:Microsoft's Azure Linux on Thursday January 29, 2026 @01:30AM (#46806552)
Where is the downvote button? Remember: it's EEE all the way.
Re:Microsoft forced me to switch to Linux on Wednesday January 28, 2026 @01:06PM (#46799191)
LoL with the insane backslash crap
The chord through the midpoints of two sides of an inscribed equilateral triangle cuts a diameter in the golden ratio. This interesting method gives a purely geometric construction of positive Phi without using Fibonacci numbers.
Re:Windows 11's Patch Tuesday nightmare gets worse on Monday January 26, 2026 @05:44PM (#46772702)
Let's hope for the catastrophic scenario. A world without Microsoft.. no telemetry or backdoors. Please continue on this track to disaster!
Re:Internet Archive's Storage on Saturday January 24, 2026 @02:56AM (#46741853)
You might want to look into using cephadm to setup CEPH. Use Erasure coding as data pool for very efficient data storage and protection (8+2). From that export large RBD to be used as zpool with dedup. Scales to Petabytes and has lots of failure protection options.
Re:Claude Code gets native LSP support on Tuesday December 23, 2025 @05:46AM (#46364237)
Or Proxmox or just virt-manager
Thank you for creating this!
Re:Microsoft confirms Windows 11 is about to change on Thursday November 13, 2025 @01:46PM (#45918803)
Switch to Debian and i3wm and never be bothered again by this type of nonsense. PC = Personal Computer. Make other choices and regain your sovereignty and privacy.
Re:Self hosting 10TB in S3 on a framework laptop and disks on Sunday October 05, 2025 @12:14PM (#45482724)
And won't be charged for ingres, egress or IOPS etc, it's better than bad, it's good. Happy times.
Re:S3 scales to petabytes a second on top of slow HDDs on Thursday September 25, 2025 @12:30AM (#45369288)
Add ZeroFS on top and get very low latency for frequently used data while bulk storage is remote S3.

Re:Copyparty, turn almost any device into a file server on Monday July 28, 2025 @03:38PM (#44714658)
The server that has moved countless Petabytes is glFTPd that allows FXP ( clients without bandwidth can initiate to transfer files from server to server ).
Re:FOKS: The Federated Open Key Service on Thursday July 10, 2025 @02:18PM (#44523941)
While I understand your concern about AI-generated images impacting trustworthiness, it's worth noting a couple of key things that might change your perspective:

Open Source and Transparent This project isn't hiding anything. It's completely open source, meaning the entire codebase is available for anyone to inspect, audit, and verify. This level of transparency is a strong counter to potential trustworthiness issues, as the community can collectively ensure its integrity.

White Paper Included Beyond just the code, there's a detailed white paper that outlines the underlying methodology, technical specifications, and goals of the project. This provides a deep dive into how it works, offering a robust explanation that stands apart from any superficial impressions given by images.

The focus here seems to be on transparency and verifiable information, which the open-source nature and accompanying white paper strongly support.

Today I learned something new, thx!
