There is market for that I feel
It is not all that applicable, but it is interesting to think about and there are people studying it
If there is any military that could do it it might be the US military
I am interested on the logistics of fuel procurement tho, the fact that starship uses liquefied natural gas and oxygen makes for a great mix and rather simple to procure vs other rocket fuels
There are some Google drive links with compiled art of the movie
2 years ago or so there was a push by an nft group with fair amount of money to purchase a copy of the dune storybook by jodo that they released to studios....
But it was not meant to be, you might be able to read of it on the web
Of which as mentioned previously by Miraste/flight 261 regarding Alaska were not implemented clearly and cleanly given that the person who raised the alarm of ghr situation was fired and the situation continued onwards
Right now regarding boeing there are also boeing whistleblowers in new NGOs set up to police boeing malpractice... If only laws work and this weren't necessary, as boeing also has bribed faa staff to achieve their own objectives risking public safety
If someone came and said that they want to drag mine/open pit mine the Yellowstone geysers bc of how rich they are with minerals and said as an argument "hey it is just a small part of the park!" I don't believe that many people would be inclined to accept that "argument"....
Gmail famously scans the user emails to sell the info to third parties and sell adds
Ought be noted that while WhatsApp to my knowledgeable doesn't carry such a clause. It would be idiotic beyond belief to be led to believe that Facebook doesn't do the exact same thing
We'll figure it out in ten years or so after the eventual leaks happen
Far easier to search and more instantly readable than pocket is

I think the naivety with which drugs are discussed by the intelligentsia and petit bourgeoisie versus their real toll once normalized is impossibly dangerous at a societal level
Crack/paco/pasta base is *not* something to be played with, and it is ofc a direct easy to mass produce derivative cocaine with multiplies the profits of selling base cocaine itself...
This is mentioned on the article linked
The ball is on Signal's control, but they are clearly not caring to improve further, just stagnate so long as they have got control of it
Not everyone has had the luxuries of your life, some people need to actually work hard to get somewhere in life
Don't overgeneralize your experiences into others
The US does not, and will not allow a "near peer" nation to exist, ever. It will use all the tools at its disposal to avoid that situation from ever happening, that's one of its own very core tenets for national security
Japan, China, Brazil, etc it does not matter if it's actually aggressive against the US or not
Indeed the emotional value of said sometimes silly things can't be understated
These days it is quite common to find solar panels on lamp posts of well being areas near the Sahara and elsewhere in the world
My big question is how well might these patterned panels handle erosion... It would be no fun to the investors if one, two light or medium sandstorms after installation then the pattern becomes eroded and they ended up paying a +15% premium or wherever it ends up being for fancy laser etched solar panels
Ofc that edge case aside.... This will be very wonderful on most of the planet
If you are tech savvy, you are then expected to be able to "bear the burden" of turning the feature off if it bothers you

> It isn’t clear that increasing interest rates will have any impact on lowering prices. The nascent resurgence in inflation being experienced across the world is primarily still due to supply chain disruptions. The mechanism by which rising interest rates are supposed to impact inflation is essentially by increasing unemployment, which weakens workers’ bargaining power and thus slows wage growth. But lowering wage growth won’t do anything to address supply side constraints or energy shortages, which are a driver of ‘cost-push’ rather than ‘demand-pull’ inflation.

> The trade-off for policy makers between creating jobs and wage growth, while simultaneously controlling inflation, goes back to a 1958 paper by economist William Phillips on the relationship between ‘Unemployment and the Rate of Change of Money Wage Rates in the United Kingdom, 1861-1957’, which became a cornerstone of macroeconomics. The paper identified the correlation between lower unemployment with higher inflation and vice-versa (see Figure 2).
The explanation for this relationship was that as unemployment decreased the ability of workers to bid for higher wages increased due to less competition in the labour market. Higher wages mean more income to spend on goods and services, which leads to prices going up. This is bad for net creditors and net savers, because the inflation cancels out the interest on savings. By contrast, workers and net borrowers benefit from rising wages and prices, as it allows them to pay off their debt more quickly, which is depreciating in real terms relative to their income.

Inflation is multifactorial, different types of disruption to the economic web cause different effects on it, the article then goes on to mention the overall lower wages on US and UK post Reagan Thatcher as case study for how labor and wage growth changes inflation rates
I am skeptical that lifting barriers to them polluting more would land any type of net benefit given that ultra-luxury products such as said jets don't tend to land outsized downstream advancements than let's say, funding basic sciences such as what Boeing or Airbus are already doing

If it could be proved that things like faster private jets or faster planes could benefit in a sizeable and proportionate way to the general public, then yeah I would be in favor of this too, but as it stands I don't find the available info compelling, I'd rather them to pay more taxes
But yeah, it works very well, I have used it for many many years, and in the same vein if someone has got high recommendations to hn apps I am all ears, I have used materialistic for couple years but it has fallen short on more than a couple things and seems to not be updated anymore
