It's reasonable because it's their own decision to make.

What you (or any of us) think about it in moral or ethic terms, is irrelevant.

Re:Peter Thiel Pledges to Support Trump’s 2020 Campaign on Friday November 02, 2018 @11:53AM (#18363940)
It's no secret that Thiel has particular ideas about human behaviour and about how the world should progress.

He is very clear in describing what he considers the issues, and it would appear that Trump's ideas in some way or other align with his own.

Why is 1.6 billion in relief for a hurricane placed in an aviation bill?
Land of the free.

Making money off keeping people in prison, you have to be a cold-hearted SOB in this industry.

US senators demonstrating they are embarrassingly out of touch with the current age.

Also sad to see a senator resorting to dramatic effects like taking off his glasses before making a grand statement.

These people are running your country?

I sometimes wonder what would happen if Bill Gates and say Warren Buffet spent a ridiculous amound of money on lobbying, in order to drastically change the political landscape.

Sometimes I wonder if all those laws could just be distilled into a few universal truth laws or something.

The amount of legal gymnastics going on in court cases and things like this... It never ceases to amaze me. It all seems so inefficient.

Re:Hackers Steal $70M in Bitcoin on Friday December 08, 2017 @03:07PM (#15881561)
Think of 'owning' a bitcoin as 'having the ability to spend' this bitcoin.

This ability is guarded by a private key. If this private key is stolen, someone else ALSO has the ability to spend this bitcoin.

Then, if this attacker transfers this bitcoin to another of his own private keys (he 'spends' it), in the blockchain there will be a record, yes. But who owns this new private key is unknown.

What are some examples of good apps currently in the store, written in React Native?
